I mean. That kind of IS the case on Fable. He's done a bunch of mildly questionable/not good stuff.

That and he claimed Zealot D1 under moderate pressure, which I at least think makes little sense as town and a fair bit as scum trying to communicate that the Zealot role is currently with scum.

 

Guaranteed kills are always better than other kills, 100% of the time.

It's a dick move strictly in the sense of a fun game. Taking away someone's ability to use their role to squeeze a few extra EV points out of the permutations is just like. Bleh.

I disagree with the characterization that she was posting just because of pressure from Citrus. Like... what kind of mental contortions do you have to go through to lie about not knowing you're a wagon at the same time you're like, literally being pressured for reads? Weren't those two things concurrent?

Even assuming you're right and witches share your valuation (I'm skeptical), witches haven't actually made a kill that could fail yet.

When I said perfect hunter plans, I meant ones that could transfer a bit of info from angels to the living. Which was what happened in WH12 and caused the original 'angels can only protect from coven' change.

What we're currently discussing is 'how to make an optimal kill' which is not even in the same ballpark.

I was referring to the fact that beruru saying I was "so upset at everything" is one of the most baffling misreads I've ever seen, to the point where it might actually make her town for sheer like...

I'm pretty much done defending owner. I think Jarizok's a way better lynch here but at the end of the day my reads overall are squishy enough that I'm not going to fight it. Prepare for some postgame gloating if I'm right, though.

 

Demons didn't actually have to Haunt Rubicon, even if there's two. Role kills exist, so Haunting Rubi just to make it look like a normal kill assumes that Angels would try to Angel Protect Rubicon. However, Demons and Angels should both know that, since Rubi is about to be role killed, using either Haunt or Protect (or both!) there wouldn't affect the outcome of the kill. Therefore, angels could have protected Rubicon even if there was only one angel (Dya), but I'm not sure that was the right thing to do?

It probably shouldn't have happened in two angels, either. If you believe someone is about to be role killed, unless they have an extra life, you should probably leave them to die... unless you are expecting scum, for whatever reason, to not use a role kill.

Like, Angel/Demon stuff is just Wine City, but we have to account for all possibilities.

tl;dr The night result should have never happened in perfect play land, which is why people said it was an Illusion Kill. ... but Angels could have protected Rubi if Mal was a witch if Rubi wasn't haunted. ... it could also be that Angels thought that showing town that it was a successful role kill was important for some reason. ... it could also be that Angels had nowhere else that they thought was useful to put their protect.

I don't think 'angels could not think of anything better to do' is distinct from 'angels made a mistake'.

I think my analysis here is comprehensive, if general, and second - unless you have a compelling argument / bit of info that suggests one thing over another, this is just a time waster to speculate on.

I can entertain JW!Silver, Fluff/dC Things, Witch!Wei, and very specific worlds about Witch!Newcomb/Vaimes/Miner (not together, don't worry), but I don't want to do that right now because my brain hurts from six hours of screaming about mechanics and I want to go to bed.

Also, we seriously definitely need to sort out Citrus vs. Kai. Like. Now would be great.
