Role questions:

Does Gravedigger actually just auto-learn roles of everyone who dies? Isn't that super OP? Oh wait - roles but not alignment?

Survivalist's one-shot vest works against a lynch as well?

Same question for Fanatic - extra life means lynch fails?

Oracle: So, you basically have a random N0 rolecop/alignment cop check on a non Priest, non Acolyte, non witch?

Assuming Fanatic/Survivalist can bounce a lynch, if that happens can Vigi fire that night?

Nurse - is that an in-thread action or a "private" one?

Assassin - same question. Also pls role me town Assassin, that sounds fun. Death or glory.

BoD - is your target public like the DoB?

Peeping Tom - is this an "all actions resolve at once" situation, so if you target, say, the Hunter and they're NKed do you get a Vig shot if the Hunter had one?

I'm actually really sad this setup doesn't have Lump. I thought it did for a minute and I was going to literally copy/paste my Lump campaign post from TinyHunt regardless of alignment/role. That would have been funny.

DLPhunt is like a meme trying to pass as a mafia game. And it was pretty successful. Just not at the mafia or game part.

WH rules are written for IRL play, so it helps to think of the terms from that pov. As an example, when you get your role/faction, you get two 'cards' - your role card and your faction card.

Witches can be anything except priest and acolyte in this game.

No lump or soup.

Angel mechanics are different yeah. There's also a shared 'general' deadchat where you can share predictions of glorious victory or whatever.

No hammer, but that's not a game rule as such, just a mod preference.

Votes are a mod preference, since the alternative is me ignoring the votes anyway and then salt.

All kill survivals are revealed in thread.

Gravedigger: Only learn deaths that happen in the daytime, so night kills are excluded from that.

Surv/fanatic: Extra lives are effective against anything that would ordinarily kill a player.

Oracle: You could look at it that way.

Vigilante: Is not in this game.

Nurse: Public, in thread. The player receiving the +life is secret though.

Assassin: Public, in thread.

BOD: Yes

PT: The role has to be dead when targeted for you to take the action in their place.

Ok so I think that's a faithful posting of the rules in a forum friendly format, do let me know if there are any issues.

One change from what I've posted previously is that day can now end early, if the vote count is unanimous-minus-one vote on a single player or (explicitly) no lynch.

e: Also worth noting for players new to witchhunt is that dead players see essentially all events that occur in the game, such as the priest's identity and his check target, the players in the coven, the gravedigger's identity and the cards he sees each day, etc.

 

What's the "spirit of the law" version of this?

 

Intended to prevent dumping your QT notes to prove your role / faction and stuff like that.
