The only reason for Atum>Cobalt for me is that we cannot know for sure that apprentice picked gravedigger (and they should not out).

If they did, lynching cobalt would give them his reveal, which would be as good. (Since cobalt would die end of day, and apprentice would take over at that moment, and recieve the check that night).

If Apprentice picked Judge we lose the role and all the information that comes with it, which is a big risk to take on day 1.
Outside of that they are equally scummy.
