It is possible, I was thinking more along the lines of whom I'd rather lynch today and the worst case scenario if we are wrong.
If both are witches the silence from Atum makes sense since he is the most likely to get lynched, thus Cobalt would have an extra day to get a townread on himself.

Okay so I'm looking at the votes and trying to see if there were any other Witches on it.

Atum (7): fontisian (#519), Snowvon (#522), Citrus (#527), Newcomb (#529), Menace (#542), Lungs (#566), Cobalt (#573)

fontisian almost got scum lynched D1. Town.

I'm town.

Citrus is townfirmed.

Newcomb is very towny.

Menace is ehh, townlean.

Lungs is something or other.

Cobalt makes me squeamish.

And then looking through for further elaboration (I'm going to use links instead of quotes to reduce space):

Lungs never mentions Atum until his wagon kicks up (x) and then makes an offhand comment about how informative Atum's flip will be (x).

Cobalt mentions Atum a bunch: points out that Atum didn't read the rules (x); votes him later on once Atum reappears (x) with a pretty vague 'hate all of this'; then he makes a big post outlining his reasoning for disliking Atum (x), although it comes off as appease-y. I'll back up Cobalt's assertion that he considers it scummy to not pay attention to the setup. The rest of the post is eh, although I'll say I do like the part where he calls Atum out on saying 'I don't get why fluff had a wagon on him' to absolve himself of responsibility should fluff end up being townfirmed on way or the other.

And then Menace. His first mention of Atum is 'he has no posts so null' (x); doesn't mention him again until fontisian starts the Atum wagon (x), also with a vague general 'dislike' as his reason.

I think Menace is the towniest of the three, followed by Lungs.

So unless everyone on Atum's wagon at the time was town, I'd say there's a Witch between Cobalt and Lungs. Mostly Cobalt.

Well, the problem is that there's nothing to really do. Atum seems to have given up on saying anything, likely to avoid tying himself down to anyone in particular. Cobalt is following a less drastic version of the same policy. At least Kalas and Menace have posts and have been trying to participate.

Aaand big Snowvon post to prove me wrong. Well, that's what I get for being defeatist.

I agree with your five picks for the most part, with the caveat that I'm not so sure that Cobalt is scum, so the bracket would probably include him. I just can't help but feel that scum would be worried enough to come up with a better defense than disbelief that we haven't hacked his account and infiltrated his QT yet. I also swing between certainty that Lucky's readwall is too bad to be town and certainty that Lucky's readwall is too bad to be scum. I'm also not willing to rule out Menace just yet, although he's lower priority than those five.

That said, you missed me and Tempus in your votal.

Pretty much where I'm at, yeah. Except I need to sort out Menace/Atum/Lungs. Atum is like, a witchy witchy witch. Besides myself and sooooorta Luckylee, Lungs is also the only one really calling Menace a witch. But Menace followed me onto Atum, like, immediately. And Menace thinks Lungs is town. Sooooo.... Lungs also pushed onto Menace early. Eh. I don't think Menace/Lungs are knowingly aligned? Menace/Lucky is a thing. Although if they were a team, would Lucky really just blithely call Menace scum for like, no reason? Ehhh.

OK, so now that I'm thinking about it, here's my problem with Menace: I think he's a witch for things he's done in this game. Mainly the fact that I think he kinda TMI spewed me town by not even caring WHY I was asking him certain questions and not trying to determine my alignment even as I pushed pretty hard on him... BUT...

...Lungs and Lucky have pushed on Menace for reasons that sound really bad and/or soft to me. So either I'm wrong on Menace (which would be annoying), and this game kinda makes sense because it's Atum/Cobalt/one from the Lucky/Lungs pair maaaaaybe both although I don't really see it? / and like, Kalas maybe? Or Menace is scum, Lucky and Lungs are prooooobably town, and I'm maybe wrong about one of my townreads and that would also be annoying. Unless it's just Kalas. That almost feels too easy though - that would mean I had 3 of 4 scum on D1, and everyone else had the 4th. Ehhh.... proooobably not that easy.

Damn. I think I just talked myself into admitting I fucked up somewhere. That's annoying. Witch!Menace implies someone likely made it into the town circle who's wearing a pointy hat, I think.

Okay, yeah. I'm at Atum/Cobalt/[one of Menace/Lungs/Luckylee]/[Tempus/Kalas by PoE, or I'm wrong about of my townreads]

 

In my first scumgame here, I survived past Day 1 because everyone thought a me/Lucky team (which it was) would be too easy.

Atum is barely ever active. Luckylee isn't a strong scum player. Cobalt is playing on a mostly-unfamiliar forum, and after the way he played town last game, rolling scum right after is bound to be noticeable. If they're all scum this game, then their team is kind of fucked from the get-go.
