The timestamp difference you're talking about is from 3am to 11am. That me passing out for the night and then waking up the next day with a decision made.

 

I don't care about the time stamps because I thought Menace towncleared Newcomb /after/ you thought about betting the game on him, which would have made more sense to me.

I'm focusing on the fact that you were hesitant to give an extra life to someone you deemed clear.

One of those situations doesn't completely contradict an opinion you previously held. You thought Newcomb was town all game, and the Oracle claim should have sealed it.

Meanwhile you spent all game thinking I was town, and now there's a semi-guilty on me and you're completely disregarding literally everything else that should reasonably point to the check being wrong.

It's not even that you think I'm scum now. It's one thing to go through the evidence and determine that the check makes sense, but the fact that you think I'm scum so easily, so swiftly, like anything and everything before this point is somehow irrelevant to figuring out my alignment? Is this really the best argument you can come up with? For one, I did consider betting the game on Newcomb before Menace's claim in post 887 and 889, as I was already suspected that Newcomb was the judge based on his reaction the end of Day 1. It's a pretty clear progression: 1. Attempt to clear Newcomb with the plan so I could give him an extra life toDay. 2.Have Menace out, making the clear unnecessary. 3. Swap the clear attempt to another townread (you) to try to fully solve the game 4. Ask others to chime in to make sure I'm not overlooking anything. 5. Life Newcomb and win the game.
