this video is an interesting analysis of mafia and showed how n0 medic saves in a common video mafia setup actually hurts town, presumably because it is another person alive that town have to evaluate.

we've talked about the value in the medic claiming immediately if they get a n0 save to get 2 immediate clears even if you're certain to lose the medic that night. i personally find it to be an interesting strategy and plan on doing it as soon as the opportunity arises.

this current play of mine is based on that idea.

I am uncertain on dLGN right now. I'm still disappointed that he hasn't really started to solve the game but I feel that his claim is pretty townie. The fact that everyone's also "yeah lets vote dLGN" also gives me pause.

And the fact that dLGN insta-gave out his life is giving me eerie flashbacks to the last WitchHunt.

I liked reading Newcomb's reads post, but I have even more respect for Newcomb's scum game than he has for my own (which was pretty much dumb luck as to how I won that game - if the town was actually competent all three of us would be dead Day 2).

Newcomb - Can you give me better justification for the Cobalt read? "Townie-helpful with WH rules" is not good enough.

I also think Kai is town since I heard he hates being scum even more than me. He's pretty carefree and trolly right now, which is what I would have liked for him to do in the last game.

LochNess, Jan are eh. I disagree partially with those reads but it's Day 1 - reads can change.

I'm fine going with Newcomb on Slippery since Slippery hasn't answered my questions and I agree with Newcomb that Slippery is mostly posturing as opposed to actual scumhunting.
