Gemma how many people you gonna activity shade?

 

I'm sort of confused as to your overall conclusion re: Cobalt's alignment. What are your reads right now, like a reads list version? I'll be ISOing you shortly anyway so this question might be moot; if so, feel free to ignore me.

 

The thing that distinguishes Newcomb's town game is the way he spools out his thoughts in his reads. There's a really unmistakeable process there that weaves back and forth over itself like a web. It's incredibly transparent and always really nuanced. I think we're far enough into the game to be seeing that level of process from Newcomb here, but instead what we're getting is this:

Doesn't really have any nuance and is pretty level 1, imo.

I'm kinda at Newcomb/Gemma/tom/Umami/muzjik town, with Jarizok/Manasi/Dels/shadow as people I'd vote. Also as people I need to reread a bit.

This is intriguing; what do you think Newcomb's take on Cobalt would be instead? Like is there something that's specifically missing there in that example that you would expect to see?

Hey Gemma, what do you think I should be giving the most consideration right now? Or is there anything or any player you want me to look at with higher priority? Otherwise I'll just be posting randomly as I read ISOs (I think starting with Vaimes and then Shadow) and the stuff Dels threw at me earlier.

 

What's missing that I would expect is a certain level of trying to get into Cobalt's head and combining a bunch of disparate things into a (mostly) coherent read. Instead it's just kind of like, Cobalt is being performative? Okay? How does that relate to his alignment or anything?

People who are wagons. Start with Jarizok and shadow then just follow your heart from there imo. I would postpone a Dels ISO until day 2, that will be a complicated read I think. Manasi/fluff/Umami ISOs should all be pretty short and easy to read.

Why is it that when I say those things earlier you insist he's definitely town so I feel stupid for doubting it, but then you can just change your mind?!

 

Would also recommend Newcomb/Cobalt ISOs if your heart doesn't take you anywhere in particular.

 

Though admittedly my issue was with the tone, not the body of work, so I guess we disagreed on that.
