Good news guys, I am town! That means I can post right away and don't have to re-read the entire topic from scum-team PoV and can post right away.

Immediate action: Now is the time for Gravedigger claim! We have enough ambiguity in our identities to have two more claims by my math, and still be safe. I would like to propose that only Gravedigger claim for the near future--this leaves plenty of room for the Acolyte to claim if needed.

I really, really want to know if Bill Door was scum or not.

Don't tell us anything about Aekiel. This only helps scum Assassin. Say NOTHING about him.

If you are the Apprentice (acting as Gravedigger), DON'T TELL US.

On the assumption that BD was town/scum, who are your scum reads?

 

There are five mechanical possibilities.

1. The Gravedigger is alive.
2. The Gravedigger is dead, but the GD-Apprentice is alive.
3. The Gravedigger is dead and the GD-Apprentice is alive, but didn't learn anything yet because Sesc was the Gravedigger.
4. The Gravedigger is dead, and the Apprentice chose judge.
5. The Gravedigger is dead, and the Apprentice is also dead.

#3 and #5 are very unlikely. I also do not think it likely that most player in this game, on this forum, would have chosen Judge as Apprentice.

It is very likely that someone saw Bill Door's cards. That someone might very well be a Witch, but we will cross/burn that bridge when we get to it.

It only helps Witches to share speculation from the false universe unnecessarily. (Which, GD or not, they obviously already know which universe we occupy.) Some of my Witch reads in one become strong town reads in the other, and I loathe handing Witches free town reads.

Also BTW Gravedigger, I realized something while re-reading D1: You can tell us if Aekiel was a Witch, since we are all assuming otherwise. Otherwise, say nothing about him.

 

Fair enough on the reads. Also, Aek was confirmed town by Stojil. I don't see Stojil lying.

 

Agreed, I think this would be an absurdly unlikely turn of events. (Which is all the more reason for the Gravedigger to present this unexpected information alongside Bill Door's alignment, if this somehow is the case.)

tl;dr: Gravedigger or Apprentice should tell us Bill Door's alignment and nothing else (including which character they or Bill Door are), but in the crazy universe where they also know Aekiel was somehow a Witch, okay sure tell us that that too.

My primary hope was that Zeitgeist was lying about the Archangel card. Given that Sesc was killed that is more unlikely, so yeah, his action do make little sense for town.

blab: That's why I only want CPi's thoughts. Getting some content from him when the Caesar slot has been silent outweighs any information this might give scum. And just as any thoughts about worlds could help scum before the gravedigger claim, the gravedigger information could really help a scum!CPi decide what to say.

 

Honestly, I don't see how reads predicated on Bill's flip (assuming they are indeed dependent on said flip) become free town reads for scum. Especially since, as Chocolate Pi said, the reads drastically change based on Bill's alignment.

 

Alright, on rethinking, I don't understand the whole Gravedigger-->alignment bit totally, tbh.

How does that help us to determine his alignment in most cases.

Ok, makes sense. That's what I thought at first, too, but then got confused with gold cards and normal cards

 

What I want to know is why Sesc wasn't protected last night. He was the only confirmed town and the obvious choice.

So, are we going to sit around all day waiting for the Gravedigger to claim? What if they don't? Then who are we lynching?
