    I'm going to

Lynch vote: Menace because I'm sick of the StrikerLee bandwagon, and Menace seems pretty damn scummy to me. Not like we have anything goddamn real to go on right now.

    We'll see how this goes.

I don't think menace is scum, he hasn't posted much but when he has they've been good posts, but I would like him to post a bit more. At the moment there isn't really much to say, we need all of those lurkers to post, and answer the questions that have been asked.

And we need a replacement for Platypus Assassin, I'm gonna mention this in every post until it actually happens.

Yeah, I've been a bit quieter than usual. Kind of busy, but yeah.. I've also been kind of wrong. I pushed on Ashaya, and tbh Sesc was one of my top 2 scum reads. I believe the Ashaya reveal, so that kind of kicks the unlikeliness of Sesc down a peg.

    So, right, top four:
    1) StrikerLee. Still on the top of my list. Really do not like editing, especially what he edited. Possibly overkilling on this, but it's one of those things that irritates me.

    2) Lutris- Just making this list he jumped up a couple notches. "I gotta post more" like 5 days ago. Really. Most of his posts before then were jumping on bandwagons. Do not like.

    3) bob99 - mechanics mechanics mechanics mechanics stating the obvious mechanics mechanics... you get the picture. Very little actual content or reads postings, lots of very brief empty posts. Do not like.
bob99: If you had a one-shot kill ability, who would you use it on right now? why?

    4) Sesc- I know, I know. He's still on my list. ~50% less likely to be scum after the innocent check. I still don't like him. Especially the post where he wanted Ashaya to explicitly reveal who she was going to check. Do I really have to explain why this is a horrible idea for town?

    Town reads:
    1) Eidolonic. I've seen him lead town as scum, I've seen him lead town as town, and I've seen him lead town as scum!town :)awesome). I've got a strong town read here.

    2) Kaidash. I've heard he's a sneaky one, so maybe he has me fooled. He's been a little inactive recently (post more please, it's +town) but maybe he's busy. The first few days had me pretty convinced, and I'll keep an eye on his activity, he's still fairly deep in my town read.

    3) Aurion. I was a little surprised that you didn't post much early, but you seem to be gathering a bit of steam. I think we're in the same boat -> playing in unfamiliar waters. What I've seen has given me a decent, if not strong, town read on you.

    4) Stojil would be here on the list, but alas, he's gone. To be honest, I don't think I have another town read strong enough to actually put here and justify it well.

Obviously I'm excluded the town!confirmed Ashaya and brute.

    Null reads:
    1) Jwlk: Apparently I can never read you, bastard. I have no leanings to call you scum, but I will never again slot you into "town" and leave it there. Even if I'm the acolyte to your priest. I'll always be like HMMMMM.

    2) Kalas: I'd like to see you post more. You seem mildly towny, but I can't put you in the town reads. I read what you had, and nothing stood out. Thus, null.

    3) Aekiel: I would have slotted Aekiel on the scummy side of null before today. His posts today have read strongly of town to me, and so he's inching his way back towards a town read. I don't know if he can make it all the way to a strong town read, but there are more important people to focus on for now imo.

    4) Menace. Post more. Way more. You're on the scum side of null, and that's not a good place to be, because it's a slippery slope.

So. Yeah, and I need to post more. It can happen. I've got one lab report due next week, and a test in a couple weeks... and then that's it. I'll be waiting for graduation. So, more time. Except for apartment hunting. But still, more time.

Yeah, I have townreads on both Sirion and Eidolonic (for now). Menace... he's not posted that much, but some of his posts have been detailed, so he could be scum trying to lie low or just busy - keeping an eye on him. I'm re-evaluating my suspicion of bob99 given Mishie wasn't coven, trying to see if he'd fit into a JW role (and my other suspicions would fit in as elder witches). StrikerLee is also still a scumread for me, but less so, since I could believe that the change in his posts was simply him being sober and realising we take this game a bit more seriously - though I still don't like his edit, I'm willing to wait.

What's there is that Ashaya was posting terribly and hurting town as a result, no matter her role. Also, finding out that she's the Priest shouldn't really say anything about my pursuit of her, since there's no way I could have known she was that role in the first place.

I guess she was trying to lay low in her own special way or something along those lines, but it seemed scummy as hell to me at the time.

Gambit- I said this in my last post, and I'll say it again. His actions in regards to Ashaya early on had no basis whatsoever. Reeks of JW trying to cover up for an assumed Coven ally. Also, I just noticed a trend of his: He's jumping in at the beginning of the day, lynch voting StrikerLee, and doing not a god damn thing else. Now, I can understand his voting of StrikerLee, as I've been doing the same thing, but he doesn't even provide any reasons. StrikerLee as a player has changed since he first laid out his suspicions (if he ever did) and thus he needs to update us on his current reasons.

CheddarTrek- Been trying way too hard to stay neutral. The only person she's really been sold on lynching is StrikerLee, who is the most popular lynch target with Castiel dead and Ashaya revealed as town. A very safe person to suspect if she were scum.

Sesc- Because I'm not entirely convinced he's not just JW.

Lungs- He almost redeemed himself with that read wall, but the night's actions have made me extremely suspicious of him. Of the two targets, Stojil was much higher on my list of town, so I can only assume that Lungs was the Court target. There are a number of ways he could have survived this, as has been stated, and some of them could even end up with him being town. But the fact that he was targeted by the Court in the first place, which is the most likely scenario in my eyes, is more than enough grounds to keep a close eye on him.

    Platypus_Assassin- Because fuck this guy.

Very true. Sorry I haven't been posting much, guys. I've been caught up with sports and writing and all of that nonsense. I'll try my best to post more often.

Well, as for me, I can't say I have liked Sirion's posts much, they all have felt slightly off to me, though it's nothing I can put a finger on.

Sesc... he could still be a junior witch, and he is one of the people I felt was likely to be scum, so a little surprised by the innocent check from Ash. I would also like to know why there was no lynch vote yesterday from him.

Also LochNess had no lynch vote yesterday.

So did Platypus, but... is he just flat out gone?

I think Lutris needs to quit lurking. Given the current state of the game, he's the one I am most convinced is scum.

As for StrikerLee1, I think people have beat the "You edited your post" horse to death and beyond. So he edited his post, he provided a reasonable explanation for it. So, while it was a derpy thing to do, I don't see him as a real scum read, but more as a "we don't know who else to lynch" option.

Menace may well be scum, the utter lack of posts is suspicious, so I am going to join Ash for now and post a Lynch Vote on Menace for now.
EDIT: Menace got a post in as I wrote this.

Just double post in the future to 'edit'. I actually refreshed the thread, and saw the before and after versions of it, and all you did was add that, so yeah. I mean, you're effectively confirmed town in 'this' game, but it's a bad habit to do instinctively.

List of people I generally want thoughts on, at the moment:

Cheddar, Kalas, Menace, Lutris, Sesc, Lungs, Aekiel, Moridin, Sirion

Names are in no particular order.

Quiet people not mentioned above, I especially want to hear from you.

Jwlk, Bob99, Coleam, maybe Ash and Kai, too.

Cheddar looks relatively townish to me. I haven't seem much difference in the way she posts in this game and out of it.

Kalas, also, seems relatively town. He doesn't seem afraid to defend or call out people, and while he hasn't posted as much as many, what he has said seems reasonable.

    Menace I talked about above.

Lutris I'm a bit worried about due to his inactivity, but I suppose that could just be him being busy. It does mean, though, that he is flying under the radar of most people.

Sesc has been a bit quiet lately, so I want to hear a little more from him before I take any conclusions further.

Lungs has said he's going to be a bit inactive and I don't want to be a jerk by challenging the motives behind that, but again, I'd like him to at least take a bit of time out to do another readwall, if he can't actively participate on a more regular basis. I am interested in why he survived, though - and also, of course, why he was targeted.

Aekiel I have a null read on. I'd like to hear more about what he thinks of other people.

Moridin is townfirmed awesome. Believe it. :awesome

I mentioned having a townread on Sirion above.

As far as the accusation about me making a lot of posts about mechanics, that might be accurate. But that is because this is the first game of mafia I've played on the internet.

As far as who would I kill, let me get back to you on that. I'm still reviewing posts. Platypus_assassin I would not kill just because I think he should be mod killed or replaced. No reason to have him in the game if he won't post, so no reason to waste a kill or lynch on him.

---------- Post automerged at 02:13 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:48 AM ----------

If I had one kill, I'd say I'd take out Lutris. Some of his posts are well thought out, but I see him mostly talking about old lynch targets. And while he posted on dlp a couple days ago, he hasn't posted on here in nearly a week. I'd also like to hear some more reads from kai.

I do have some questions though, I was wondering if people thought the court was infiltrated, and if so, if any members have died. I'm specifically interested in hearing from sesc, eid, morridan, cheddartrek, aekiel and kai.

Cheddar - As previously mentioned by a couple people, she seems determined to stick to being very safe in her play. I'm somewhere between null and scum on her.

Kalas - He seems to be rather neatly sliding under most people's radar. I don't think this is a good thing. I've got nothing specific I can point to and say he's scum, though.

Menace - He lurks, he lurks, he lurks, he posts a decent-sized post, he lurks, he lurks, he lurks. I'm getting a scumread off of him for that.

Lutris - Turbolurking is bad, which means I think that Lutris is bad. He's not posting enough for me to get a read on him, but given the turbolurking he makes most of my possible scum lists.

Sesc - Null. Wouldn't have been shocked if he was in the Coven, but Ash says he checks Town soooo... either a JW or Town.

Lungs - Slight scumread. He posts the one readwall, then he goes back to saying almost nothing. Being targeted (probably?) by the Court isn't a good thing either, but it's not absolute.

Aekiel - Aek seems to be consciously trying to come off as town. Which could mean anything, really.

Moridin - Something about his posts has seemed off the whole game. There's not terribly much to put my finger on, but the best example was probably the wall he posted trying to draw connections between Klackerz and bob99...when Klackerz had already said such a connection exists. It looked like he was grasping at straws.

Sirion - I don't have a strong scumread on him, but I like him less than I would a random null read.

In turn, Eid, what do you make of Jwlk, Gambit, and guljons?

Started out typing up scumreads got a little caught up in it all. tl;dr incoming.

Aekiel: Came in as a replacement and has more thread presence then half the players. A couple people have voiced suspicions of him, but I've had no real problems with anything he's said. The replacement scum scenario is unlikely, he's came into this game posting in completely the wrong style.

Ashaya: Town. The way I see it, if Ashaya had fake!claimed her role the real Priest would have checked her and revealed the results today. Not only would that have given us 2/9 confirmed scum, we would basically have had a third in Gambit. While Priest COULD be playing cautiously the later he waits the more it would look like a bad scum ploy, so I really can't see that being possible. Anyway you look at the situation the lack of counter claim puts Ashaya as town.

Aurion: I can't even call you a null read. Its not like you've been serial lurking and you've made posts with relevant content its just.. 5 minutes after I finish reading what you've said the fact that you're playing this game has completely slipped my mind. Its not what I'd consider a pro-town position for someone to be in, heading into Day 4.

Bill Door: You post town but you're a Null. Whenever I look back over your posts I get a sense of.. something. Like they were relevant at the time of posting but contributed little to the overall thread. More posts with more content please.

bob99: Fairly town read. I can sympathize with his seeming lack of content, Forumfia is a completely different beast after all and I've found his mechanics analysis to be useful on more then one occasion.

CheddarTrek: Was a solid Town-y read, agreeable posts and I was happy to be sharing StrikerLee suspicions. Then you posted this.

You just threw this onto the end of a post and never mentioned it again. Given how blatantly scummy one of those two people are explain please.

coleam: Not a lot I can say about him. I feel a lot of the complaints leveled bob's way apply to him, a lot of mechanics posts and the like, with a lot less excuse for them. Nullish.

Eidolonic: Towny town makes town posts and town jokes. Town. Or diabolical scum.. but really Town.

Gambit: Scum Ashaya would have equaled Scum Gambit, but she's town. So his white knighting is completely purposeless from a Scum perspective. Then again, through Meta, Gambit has never been a.. good scum player. Or even a solid one. So sitting on a Null read for the most part.

guljons: You usually have good things to say, you just need to be around to say them more. Null.

jwlk: Town side of null. Hasn't posted anything that's really stood out to me one way or another, but at the same time nothing questionable.

KaiDASH: Started the game strong with questioning Court candidates and his early game read questions and my read hasn't changed for a second. Town.

Lochness: Worst lurker in the game imo. She was gungho to be a replacement player until she actually got into the game and then up and disappeared. I have a slight scum read, if only due to the complete 180 in enthusiasm. If scum, is Coven + Power Role.

Lutris: Null read leaning towards scum. When he's here he makes a good post but then he drops off the face of the earth for another couple days. I know he's in Japan so, you know, there's Shit to deal with but he's had time to post in other threads :/

Lungs: Lutris Lite. Everything I posted for him applies, if to a lesser degree. Court agrees apparently.

Menace: Go up and read guljons entry. That's you too. Post more.

Moridin: Null. I want to say scummy but I feel too many people took the klackerz/Moridin 'connection' as more damning (and present) then it actually was and that that's tainting their read. Watching closely.

Platypus Assassin: DNE. I'm not normally a fan of late game replacements but having his role post can only be good things. Chocolate, anyone, replacement please.

Sesc: Scummy with the check proving nothing. Getting into the JW mindset I WOULD be posting on the scummy side of things and trying to pull a check.

Sirion: Had a good town read on him Day 1, slowly slipped into a null/slightly scummy read before pulling himself back onto the Town side of things. Town for now, but someone who's posts I'm watching closely.

*StrikerLee*: Scum and I don't understand how he is still alive. I've already typed this out though, so just go back and read why.

thebrute7: See comments on Ashaya. Try not to hammer tonight though. There was still good discussion going on :/

---------- Post automerged at 03:16 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:11 AM ----------

@Aurion: Posts like that are why I can't remember you. 10 'reads' that can be summarized as 'I find lurkers scummy' and 'XYZ's posts seem off.' Try putting a little content into this.

Alright, i'll do some quick reads before I go to bed.

Cheddar, Kalas, Menace, Lutris, Sesc, Lungs, Aekiel, Moridin, Sirion

Cheddar- complete null, just sliding throughout the game

Kalas- Once a mafia day it seems he gets together and makes a giant post. I don't like your last read-wall, but I don't like any huge walls like that, really. I'd rather you take it a few at a time and really explain your points, but I don't think its necessarily scummy, and you're other posts have been okay-ish. I want you to post some more, you're pretty much a non-entity.

Menace- I said it before, he's one of my town reads. He hasn't posted much, and more info is always good (I want you to post more, don't think this is a get-out-of-posting-free card), but what he has posted i've agreed with, and at least he has posted SOME content. Town to me unless something changes

Lutris- Man, lmfao. Nothing on him, he doesn't post. And him not posting is really suspicious, because i've seen him play before, as town, and this is just not it. He doesn't post at all, and I don't think he's posted any content. Scum read, vaugly linked with Ollie, who i'm not sure isn't scum.. I can totally see Ollie doing the "obviously attach myself to my coven mate, and no one will think we're together" and think its a good idea.

Sesc- been a town read this whole game really, think Ashaya wasted that check, but whatever. Also see no reason why Ashaya shouldn't give out her check, and Eido's reason is stupid, so it doesn't count. And whoever just blindly agreed with him is stupid as well.

Lungs- also made no secret I don't like him. Not going to try to get him lynched, but i'm not happy with him at all. I'd save lynching him for tomorrow, unless court feels like throwing another shot at him.

Aekiel- the "I'll be innocent if you check me" to ashaya sounded legit, but i honestly dunno how he'd play that off if he was really scum, since there is a huge chance he was checked. I know if I was scum and had a chance to be checked, i'd just ignore it. But i'm hoping you get checked tonight, so we'll see for sure in the morning I guess. Not a town read, but not quite ready to shoot.

Moridin- probably more likely scum than Aekiel? Not to sure on this, I'm' going to leave this blank on purpose because tomorrow i'll just re-read your posts, because nothing is coming to mind.

Sirion- eh, nothing to say really. Don't see why everyone is finding him suspicious, or well, more suspicious then anyone else should be.

Just some town reads i'll throw out: (This time, with half the Eido!)
    1) Kai- really self explanatory, has been a town read for me for a while. Hasn't posted in a while though, but I've been busy as well so :/
    Eido - Just kidding lololol

    2) Sesc- Been thinking town since the beginning, his priest check just firms it for me.

    3) B.Door- surprised he hasn't popped up more, tbh. I'm calling townie on him, and he's pretty active, which is a bonus.
    4) Who else? I dunno. brain fart. Pretend your name is here. Or mine. Yah sure.

Also, Vote: Lutris. I hope you get lynched and die.

Did you just try and reverse on me? Man. That's...not good. At all.

And now you've made my vote decision complicated- Menace, Lutris, or you.

I'd like to say that your collective scum reading ability ITT sucks balls. Most of the walls of text boil down to 'everyone is basically a null read and Sesc checked innocent so he must be a junior witch'. Do you not notice this yourselves? You basically have no read on anyone, and then you turn around and try forcing the one confirmed not-witch into a role where they can be at least somewhat witch-y. It's like this:

In-write EDIT: Kalas, your wall is in no way better than Aurion's when it comes to who you find suspicious. No room to talk. At all.

Of course, this assumes you're genuine. If I read "Because I'm not entirely convinced he's not just JW." as a reason (I mean, what can you say to that? Really, what?) I have this strong urge to take stock of the hot air wall of texts with the assumption that I'll find a higher-than-average percentage of witches in it >.<

Anyway, I haven't been as active because A) I was more busy IRL than I anticipated, meaning I didn't have as much time to read the thread and figure out who I think is suspicious, and B) my role didn't demand it, which is all I'll say on that matter.

So I'm not going to post a wall because there's nothing I could say. I haven't had the time to properly analyse the posts. I still dislike Eidolonic (do you even have anything beyond meta stuff supporting he's Town?), I'd still like if Ashaya was a fake!priest (but then I'd be doing the round-hole-square-peg thing myself), I'm not convinced of Moridin, but that mostly stems from when I thought Ashaya was a witch and linked with him; and I started to dislike Menace and Sirion for their bullshit reasoning, but considering this is about me, I might well be subjective here. There's the obvious tendency to do reverse reasoning when someone points at you. Apart from that, heavy lurking is always suspicious, so you have the usual suspects (Lutris & co.)

And finally, the reason I didn't vote yesterday was because you, thebrute7, were a tard and hammered the lunch too early. So to complain afterwards that I didn't vote is just what. Typically, I'm asleep at around six in the morning. When I woke up (my alarm was set so that I had ample time before the actual deadline), the party was already over.

    BTW:
Yes. Please do. Then we could talk about the probability of the priest dying because witches always want the priest dead, and of the priest dying because witches really really want them dead plus always wanting them dead.

CheddarTrek - I've had a bit of a scum read for a while, but it hasn't been substantial enough to do more than keep an eye on her.

Kalas - Something about his posts has set my scumdar off. I can't place what it is going back through them, but every time I read his posts something in the back of my heads screams "LIES!"

Menace - Lurking is bad, mmmkay. What he has posted has read alright to me though. That said, the majority of his (few) posts have been mechanics related and those are hard to make scummy.

Lutris - Again, another minor scumread, this time exacerbated by his serial lurking. If I had to pick someone to lynch right now, Lutris would be high on the list.

Sesc - Null read. He's posted equal parts town and equal parts scum in my eyes, so I'd probably lean towards him being scum.

Lungs - He's normally a very active poster. Lurking does not suit him at all. As of right now I'm ambivalent as to whether he's scum or a role that emphasises lurking (while being town).

    Aekiel - Is awesome.

Moridin - I've got nothing. Seriously, this seems to be a problem with him. All of his posts are so inconsequential that they just don't stick in my head.

Sirion - A slightly harder scumread than most, but not as much as Lutris or Cheddar. He also defended Geabe on the first day, though I'm not entirely sure he was scum.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Finally, some of my own.

guljons - I mentioned guljons earlier and my point still stands. While Strikerlee is a good lynch target for a fallback when we've got no other scumreads, guljons has been very active in pushing for his lynch. Looking back through the vote record as well, he has only ever voted for Strikerlee, not changing his vote even once. This just screams scum trying to hide in plain sight to me.

coleam - He's scummy as fuck. This post in particular set off my scumdar like a bomb. It's the way he talks about town in it that peak my interest, and that impression has stuck with me through everything else he's said.

Why should I change my vote when I am certain that I am doing the right thing?
Most of us agree that StrikerLee was/is a good target, then why is it bad that he is the only one I have voted for? Not everyone has to flip-flop from one target to another.

Reverse.. what on you? I gave you my opinion, read your latest post and found it completely unchanged.

@Sesc: I do have room to talk actually. While I did summarize most of my reads, I still have my full reasoning in my head and can expand on any individuals if it comes down to it.

I didn't really want to put ideas into the covens head, in case they hadn't thought this through, but I think not speaking up at this point would eventually help getting me lynched, which is also bad for town... and it's mostly pretty obvious, and once they were in the situation I think they'd see it.

The priest announcing who they are going to check let's the scum decide what information we get. It means giving them the power. If they're good at the game, this is a Bad Thing.

Let's look at this options-results style. Ashaya announce the target. There are a few options.

    1) Ashaya picks a towny!town for some reason.
    a) Scum don't have a better target, and kill her. We now have to decide if the towny town person is evil, and honestly there's a good chance people will want to kill him to be safe. We're now down a lynch and a town person.
    b) Scum don't kill her. She announces result. People wonder why they didn't kill her, consider possibility towny!town is JW. (hi Sesc). This would be even worse in an individually announced check than a random one.

    2) Ashaya picks a scummy!town
    a) The scum kill her. Instantly, the scummy!town is pretty much the first lynch. There are other things at play here that I'm NOT going to spell out, as that's -town, but this is a very bad situation.
    b) The scum don't kill her. It lightens suspicion some, but not all that much because JW exist.

    3) Ashaya picks a JW, either suspicious or not
The scum let it slide, a mild +town boost for one of their own, and they can go after another target with a lower chance of being Angeled.

    4) Ashaya picks a Coven
They kill her. We're now stuck in the position of "is this case 1-2, or case4" And there's a possibility we'll talk ourselves out of killing the person named the target.

The "best case" scenario isn't here. The one that everyone wants. Ashaya lives, and gives a read that says "I found a coven." Because there's no way a scum team is going to let that fly.

The best plan is to have towny-people give recommendations and have Ashaya give practically no indication who she is going to kill.

The information we get by her death is spoiled. It's like the FBI tapping a phone, but the mob knows it's tapped. Any information has a chance of being misdirection. Only Ashaya's results are useful.

And honestly a confirmed oracle check is just not worth the loss of the chance of a "pure" coven hit.

A reverse in this sense is basically a "No, YOU'RE scum!". It's calling doubt or flat out pointing back at someone who suspects you as scum.

Right. And the other option is not saying anything and just dying. There's literally no difference in there, as far as useful results go -- unless, of course, you expect her to live longer than next night.

@Kalas: You colour half you post yellow, lable it "null" and call Lutris and Lungs out for lurking. I really do not see how this is better that Aurion's, but maybe it's just me.
