Wasn’t Ron attacked by the floating brains? I’d think that could give some inspiration to powers there.

Someone in the time room: maybe you learn how to speed up your own personal time and slow it down. Maybe you can step outside of time (freeze it for a moment) before you renter it. I think there’s been a kid done with traveling back in time, so the more that could be avoided, the better.

But really, six people and six things studied is basically just asking for someone to work on it.

Make Ginny’s power Death, and a Harry’s power Love, and give them a Deadpool-Death relationship.

That guy in Worm... The one that could, like, live two timelines at once then pick the one that worked out the best to be the real one?

That would be a superpower not already covered by HP magic.

Even something as simple as teleportation would wreak havoc in a wizarding world bound by the limitations and counters to Apparition.

What if Harry, injured in the time room, gains the ability to reset time to the moment of his injury as much as he wants, but his mind resets as well? Ron's scuffle with the brains gives his mind perfect recall that is immune to the resets and he has to work with Harry to actually make much use of either ability.

    Divination.

One could write about the difficulty of social interaction when the "prophet" always knows what other people are going to say before they do, or a crack fick where he goes to Vegas and makes a killing in roulette table, or an epic fight scene with something akin to Star Wars Force Precognition.

Perhaps the greatest superpower you could give a wizard would be to shift their perspective outside of a human one. Because yeah, obviously HP wizards already have near god-like power, but from what we see many of them use this as a way to increase their very human quality of life. You use magic to stir the pots, you use magic to fetch the quill from the desk, you use magic to travel instantaneously to your place of work...

Thinking about Dr. Manhattan, he's a superhero who's powers were so great that he became disconnected from humanity. Wizards inherently have superpowers that are so great that if a wizard were all alone, with no society to offer structure and support and understanding, he could become this inhuman godlike figure like Dr. Manhattan and eventually shirk his humanity.

The fact that wizarding society exists, and provides some sort of social norms the tethers all these powerful individuals together keeps them from losing their humanity.

So what if you had a wizard have some sort of galaxy-brain revelation that distanced him from society and made him inhuman? He already has godlike power, now he has no compunctions against using it for whatever purpose he wants.

That kind of seems like rambling nonsense and I think doesn't fit the purpose of this thread, though.

This is a tricky subject. How do you give someone a super-power when they sort of have every power to begin with. Is making someone supremely good at a specific branch of magic enough? Would somebody who has an innate grasp of transfiguration and is the Best Ever qualify as a superhero? Or maybe something like in Blindness where the hero can "see" magic?

One of the many fics I didn’t write is a story of Obelix!Harry - Harry falling into some potion Lily was preparing to help James and Order survive.

In this version, it was luck potion - cue shenanigans - but one of the “superpowers” could simply be permanency of any potion the subject falls into.

Luck, memory, speed of thought, quality of senses… or many fanon level potions, just permanent.

Does Voldemort not already have a sort of super power? He either invented or rediscovered unaided flight, and if I remember correctly the Order of the Pheonix members reacted with shock and awe to this feat.

There was a readable worm crossover from a few years ago about a snape that got the power to quantify his goals into achievable steps along a path with guaranteed success. It worked pretty well too but the author did abandon it at about the time when it felt like they were running out of ideas. Definite guilty pleasure.

Making it pure crack could work as well.

IIRC there's a fic which does something similar, but it dealt with known spells. Godric Gryffindor(not in person) and Harry Potter both decided to become insanely good at a single spell (patronus and fiendfyre respectively I think)

I'd go with batman style superhero, considering the state of HP crossovers.
