    It feels like we're waiting longer each year. ;_;

Doesn't just feel, we're waiting longer. Up to Changes it was just 12 months between books, but afterwards:

    Ghost Story - 15 months
    Cold Days - 16 months
    Skin Game - 18 months
Peace Talks - ? (16 months in September, 24 months if it's released in May 2016)

This wouldn't be as bad if not for the fact that there are at least 8 more books to be released. If it keeps slowing down that could mean even 20 years of waiting for the end, but I suppose as long as we don't need to wait 5+ years between single books we don't have much to complain about. ;)

Plus we'll be getting Cinder Spires in between.

Yeah, I expect Dresden is getting hard to write as we move further into the series. More overarching plot threads to deal with, and less leeway to do it in since so much has already been established. And Butcher's readership trusts him to get that sort of stuff right.

Plus like Aekiel said we'll be getting Cinder Spires in between. I doubt that's the only reason for the delay, since Butcher managed Codex Alera along with Dresden before, but it is probably another contributing factor.

    Good times.

Well, between Cinder Spires, occasional short story and graphic novel Butcher got his plate full. Not to mention his recent book signing spree, including Europe - that takes some time too.
Since we've got a steady stream of good stuff, I see no reason to complain.

At the start he was doing 2 books a year as well.

In the end though, these books are the ones that will really count. They will dictate how popular Dresden will be after its done. As much as I want to read them all RIGHT NOW, Im willing to give Butcher the time he needs to finish them satisfactorily.

I will be waiting impatiently though. Especially for the book after leave talks. It looks like that will probably be the last 'fun' guilty pleasure book of the series.

Yeah... If a few more months means we don't get another Cold Days, I'm so okay with waiting. Looking forward to Codex Alera a lot, too!

    *Cinder Spires.

Also, sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who actually liked Cold Days. It was a different book to a lot of Dresden, but some really awesome and necessary things happened in that book.

I liked Cold Days just fine. It wasn't one of my favorites, but I didn't like it any less than most of the other books.

Ghost Story though? Didn't like that one much. I know that it was different, and vital in some ways, and I get why I didn't like it and accept that it was probably a good book anyway. But yeah, apart from the first four books (which are weak in other ways, imo), it's my least favorite.

Ghost Story felt like a short story that he padded until he could sell it as a full-length novel. It's by far the weakest of the books, including the first four IMO.

I enjoyed Cold Days too. It was no Turn Coat, but it was a solid book.

Been a pretty dry season for Dresden, huh?

Fucking loving everything in this AMA, alternate Changes which ends with Denarian Molly, Winter Lady and Ramirez versus a Cult of Sleepers and more. This shit is gold.

Does this imply that there are at least a few Wyld Fae living in the southern hemisphere that, working together, could give Mab or Titania pause?

Am I the only one thinking it sort of weird that Titania and Mab for some reason went and found the same guy and had kids with him. Also... Seeing as the Fae are so interested in synergy, do you reckon the fact that Mab had twins and Titania supposedly didn't, is relevant?

Also fished this from a link on Butcher's Facebook page here. Some of it is info already found in the Reddit AMA, but I did a complete copy-paste from the link for anyone who doesn't want to click and read/watch the video.

Let us hope this does not further the blasphemy that would be Ramirez/Molly! xD Thanks for uploading, Alb.

Is there a short story out there I haven't read yet? I seem to have missed when Dresden's spirit daughter was christened "Bonnie."
