Naaah, if I’m racist towards some race it’s the dranei. Every problem Azeroth experienced came because of them.

I fucking love Jaina (now) and her Flying Kul'Tiran.

 

It's fitting that our color is blue, it matches my balls after that ending. Alliance leaders are fucking useless and stupid, Baine is spineless and Sylvanas is a bond villain but Jaina is dope.

 

Honestly? I found Jaina's entrance ruined the whole thing. She showed up, waved a hand and banished several square kilometers of blight, then the rest of the scenario was "Oh no, the Blight! There's nothing we can do!" while Jaina's just chilling out right next to them.

It was incredibly silly and undercut all of the tension they were trying to build. Would have been much better if they'd done something else with the initial "blight everywhere" thing. Preferably by replacing it with a Saurfang-led counter-charge that managed to break the Alliance's morale, only for Jaina to show up and counter-charge the counter-charge, and then Saurfang throws his honor fit over Sylvanas' plan to gas the whole city while the Alliance is inside it.

 

She didn't banish anything, the blight is still there. The gas was just frozen, that's how I saw it. AFAIK, it's there long after and Lordaeron is poisoned during bfa, it's why it doesn't become an Alliance city (which is super lame btw, how crazy would it have been if Darnassus/Lordaeron swapped factions) - salt the earth etc. I probably wouldn't recommend trying to freeze anything while you're in the midst of it though once they were inside...

I found it way more silly that Sylv's banshee scream apparently only works on nameless grunts...

Here's my problem:
Whatever Jaina did, it made the Blight a non-issue and let the entire Alliance army walk right across it, despite the fact that they were in the middle of it all when she did whatever it was she did.

Then she all of a sudden was completely helpless against the exact same thing because reasons.

Jaina's dramatic entrance completely undermined the rest of the scenario. It was cool and all, but from that point on, all I could do was cock an eyebrow and wonder why everyone was making such a big deal out of something Jaina had handled with an errant gesture not five minutes before.

You misunderstand. Jaina's entrance itself was pretty sweet. The problem was after that, when the threat that she trivialized during that entrance was used no less than 3 times as a practically insurmountable barrier.

Like I said, if it'd instead been, say, Saurfang charging out of the Undercity and driving the Alliance back, then Jaina showed up and punked his ass with her flying ghost cannons, the scenario would have been bloody amazing the whole way through.

It's just, once Jaina neutralized the Blight by waving her hand, the Blight lost any sense of threat, so when everyone kept reacting to it as if it was the end of all things, it rang more than a little hollow.

 

True, but what people will remember will be her sweet entrance.

Yeah, the battle for the Undercity. Alliance attacked Undercity in retribution for Teldrassil.

It's a neat little scenario, if you're at all interested in the BFA story.
