I guess there might be lobsters that could ferry her across the water, or something.

She does have to use shellfish for something crazy before this story ends. It would be an injustice for that skill to remain unused.

You know, I hate spiders... But I think I just saw something worse. :/ at least spiders can't fly after you.

The hornets are fine for me. Spiders... not so much. I hate you so much right now, J22, it's not even funny.

If it makes you feel any better, those spiders are the second largest in the world and known to eat birds.

Honestly, I'd be more worried about Skitter having an army of Sydney Funnel Webs though. Those things are terrifying.

Seriously, large spiders aren't that bad. It's the small insidious ones that are.

New chapter, and I like the time skips. Looks like everything is finally starting to get down to the wire. Though I was expecting Taylor to have acted by now, instead of waiting however many days she did. Can't wait to see what she does next chapter though, planning to remove an established villain.

    Not days, weeks.

I think we skipped more time in this chapter than the story encompassed before the prison time skip. :p

Weeks? We skipped the whole three and a half month long interval between Endbringer attacks.

The massiveness of the timeskip with regard to the rest of the timeline was a bit jarring. I almost would look at this like a sequel, after the first story concluded with the death of Behemoth and Taylor's assignment to Chicago.

Considering there's only somewhere between 5-10 arcs left in the story, it'd be a very short sequel compared to the original. :p

I think Wildbow said at some point that the time skip around when Imp joined the story was basically the start of book two. So this could work as book three.

I got to 13.1 a few days ago before I decided to take a break. Unfortunately that break's kind of dulled my thoughts on what I read, but I thought it was necessary. There's just too much for me to read all at once.

The Slaughterhouse Nine are seriously creepy, particularly Mannequin and Bonesaw -- body horror really squicks me out. Shatterbird isn't quite creepy like those two are, but holy shit is her power dangerous. I wouldn't have thought of power over glass being that great until I saw her use it.

I loved Taylor's fight against Mannequin, and how she was pretty much riding on the seat of her pants. I also liked how Taylor was getting into running her territory, and how her power gives her good organizational abilities.

    What??

13 is where it gets really good and fucking terrifying. Although I did enjoy Taylor's community-building.

Agreed. This is the point where you have to keep reading, because it just keeps getting more and more awesome from then onwards.

Not a bad update this time with yet another example of just how scary Weaver can be given the right circumstances. Also the start of her army, if I'm reading the hints right. I can see this going very similarly to her takeover of Brockton Bay, but on a global scale.
