Rolled Alertness 5, 2 shifts above the veil 3 your power provides. Going to assume that sort of success gives me the ability to clearly track you, considering I watched your progress tunneling through the vault wall with my shadow sight.

"Wisp?" Shade said, looking at where the parahuman's tunnel should have made him come out. "I know you're there. Look, no point in getting pissed at Fissure; I haven't been here all along. Just got here, and I have a proposition for you gentleman. I do apologize, though; I really didn't consider how it would look for you to find me here like this till I started speaking, and I'd appreciate not experiencing the wonders of your Tinker's gas, so I'll abridge my plan and just let you know I'm a friendly. From this conversation, you know that I can't be security, or you boys would be under far more pressure than you are, so I just ask you to accept things till we can talk. Now, you want me to help you move this stuff, or do you want to handle this all yourself?'

@Wisp: The vault is pitch black to your senses, the only light available to you being that from Fissure's tunnel. You can make out enough to see the shadows of various boxes in the centre of the vault, as well as the steel bars that guard the more permanent security boxes the casino holds.

The bars look thick and sturdy enough to give even the stronger brutes of the London cape scene some trouble, but they're nothing to your power and you know it.

(If you want to get a better idea of what's in the vault, you'll need to make some light.)

@Shade: Your trip to the vault is as quick as taking a step forward, walking into the shadows of your hiding place and out inside the vault. You count on your secondary abilities, your Stranger powers to keep you from being noticed out on the street.

Where Wisp is almost blinded by the lack of light, you require no such thing to see. Your power grants you an almost omnipresent view of the vault over every surface and inside every box. If you took the time you reckon you could probably read every deed, statement and promisary note in the room without touching a thing, though you are no more able to read two pages at once than anyone else.

A cursory glance around as you arrive gives you a couple of boxes filled to the brim with diamonds and a note reading 'Namibian Diamonds - ~1CD' printed on a lacquered card inside. The outside of every box, including the diamond ones, is blank except for a serial number on a piece of similarly high class card.

@Fissure: You sense Shade's entrance to the the vault as a gradually fading in of material until a man shaped object is visible to your senses. You hear him speaking to Wisp through the hole in the floor of the vault.

@Zephyr: You hear the police cars converging on ground zero despite the late night traffic. It sounds as though every cop in the city has decided to attend the party. All except one, which you notice as you leap from your perch to another nearby. The car is moving slowly through the streets, headlamps on but sirens/lights off. It pulls up on the street below you, two police officers leaving the vehicle and looking around, including up.

One of the cops is, if your vantage point isn't playing tricks on your eyes, nearer seven feet tall than six and built like a wall. His helmet is held loosely in one hand as he cranes his neck backwards to scan the rooftops. His other hand rests on the radio attached to his chest.

The second cop is much shorter than the first, though not particularly shorter than average. He's also a bit on the old and tubby side. He says something to his partner, giving him a light elbow in the hip and you hear his laughter four storeys up.

(Roll Stealth vs the cops' Alertness checks. Tubby and the Giant scored 4 and 6, respectively.)

@Dynamo: The tinker hears Wisp's order and replies in the affirmative, seeking out a second set of grenades to load into his teleportation glove. It would be more difficult to get them on target without pre-calibration, but time may be of the essence. So of course he fumbles the grenades, dropping them to the floor of the tunnel with a curse. He bends down to pick them up, hoping he isn't too late.
