That's why there's the headcanon mention. If whole Harry was Horcrux, he'd be basically possessed, so IMO it was simply in the scar. And that's destroyable.

Where exactly did you get this from? From what I remember from the canon, there wasn't anything that supports this claim. Horcruxes are shown to be sentient and able to think for themselves independently from the main soul (e.g. Nagini and Tom Riddle's Diary).

I think there's neither any contradiction nor any real proof for this claim in canon. Nagini doesn't really count as she is a snake whose usual behaviour we don't get to see before she's made a horcrux.

However I think it is indeed notable that only Harry's scar hurts when he is close to Voldemort - not his whole body. So I think we can safely assume where the horcrux really is.

On the other hand I don't know why that should make removing it any easier. After all, the horcrux in the scar has a connection to his mind. To remove it, one might has to also destroy the mind.

Yea I would in a heart beat I would love to be able to use magic. It might even make me be happy to do school work just because it is magic school lessons.

Nah, I wouldn't - I'm nearly done with my degree (1 more year left). Wouldn't want to have to re-live that part. Plus, I'd probably be rubbish at defending myself from all of Harry's Enemies!

For any other wizard I would say yes, but Harry had a really hard few years at Hogwarts. While being able to use magic would be pretty amazing, it isn't worth all the trouble Harry went through (in my opinion).

(Also, this is my first post, so HI EVERYONE!!!)

Not really. I wouldn't be ready to carry the burden he has to.

On one hand there's Hogwarts and magic to be learned (and Voldie to kill) but on the other hand, age eleven isn't a great place to be(redo). Eh, I'd say yes.

Nope. There would be no way to get the Horcrux out of me. Also, there would be Voldemort and the Death Eaters. Maybe with the foreknowledge Voldemort could be kept in shade form so I wouldn't have scar aches, but it wouldn't be worth it.

As if anyone in this thread (Despite what they're saying) will seriously turn down the chance to learn magic.

Idk...I mean his life was pretty terrible. With fantasy universes, the idea of them is so romanticized that some forget that when he was 11, he was still living in a cupboard. He had no friends, abusive relatives, and no prospective future.

Like, if someone offered me the chance to learn magic now I'd take it in a heartbeat. I wouldn't go back in time and live someone else's life for it though.

It all boils down to whether or not you have the book knowledge. At least then you can look for the Hallows and come up with a plan.

It's simple. We kill the Dumbledore.

Maybe just move to Beauxbatons instead of taking on the head of the Wizarding World

    Just a thought

Nah don't be a lil' bitch. We could sucker punch him. Old Dumbles is only coasting by on the rags of past glories and the influence bought with money stolen from the Potter vaults.

Even if this question means thatyou're stuck in 11 year old Harry's body and can't control it until after he's defeated Voldemort or even after the epilogue, we'll still take it becuase we know he'll survive. Besides, book Ginny was apparently quite hot.

If we're the ones controlling the body from 11 years old with knowledge of events then we'll obviously take it.

If we don;t have knowledge of events, we might still take it since the majority of the people here are smarter than canon Harry and will make the right decisions (Get the hell outta dodge). Or you know, actually show some interest in learning magic.

Okay, this thread has run its course. I'm pretty sick of seeing it pop up with more meaningless drivel to read every day.

If you're new and are looking for threads to raise your post-count up to five, there's a whole world of much more interesting topics than this to talk about.
