This is more a spur of the moment thing that came about from me properly watching a tv series for the first time in a while. I was watching Jekyll during dinner and was beyond enraptured by the show. The beautiful dichotomy of the frightened Jekyll and the psychosis of Hyde, the sensuous sultry elegance of Claire and generally just how brilliantly the storyline is played out. Then when the episode ended and I returned to my laptop I realised how wonderfully the storyline meshes with this fandom. The timid canonical Harry sharing a body with the spirit of a clinically homocidal Voldemort being a very good starting point. Hell, even love being the catalyst of the Jekyll/Hyde transformations is a parallel between the two.

What I propose as my challenge is a crossover between this fandom and Jekyll in terms of concept. A schizophrenic shift of character between the psyche of Harry and Voldemort triggered by his interactions with a hot chick? The DoM being aware of his condition and trying to rope him in? The possibilities are there.

edit: Amusing concidence that the Jekyll personality is named Tom.

 

This could be really fun to read if a talented author picks it up. Discussions of a Dark Harry/Fleur plotline have taken place in the Harry/Fleur Community thread, and the concept of Harry's split personality could really lend itself to that idea.

Pretty broad terms for a challenge, though. As the challenger, are there other features you'd like to see incorporated?

 

Intriguing idea, I'd definitely read it. The fact that Harry bears a part of Lord Voldemort's soul in canon works pretty well for this concept also. A bit broad however, which has already been pointed out.

 

There are a lot of features that I'd like to see incorporated but ultimately the author should have enough freedom to interpret the two storylines as they see fit. I would however like to see the two characters as separate entities from beginning to end, minor appearance differences included. The switch in character should initially follow Jekyll and Hyde in that a catalyst is required but the author should be free to decide whether the two personalities merge, remain in hostile opposition, develop a method of self-activating the switch etc. etc.

One requirement is that there must be bloodbaths. There is no Jekyll and Hyde without bloodbaths.
