it's a short story told from Tayuya's POV about an engagement with a Leaf team in hostile territory. While it has decent action, strategic plot, and a well thought out theme, it's not as tightly focused as it could be, so I'd give it a 4/5.

Not Naruto-centric, so definitely not for people unfamiliar with the series. Still, spare any complaints that you never read anything without Naruto in it, since it's pretty short, sweet, and plot driven.

    Impressive.

Was half-expecting the major twist that had come, but it still took me by pleasant surprise. And near the end, Tayuya's conversation with Shikamaru pulled on my heart-strings a little bit.

4/5 from me, for being well written, entertaining, and bitter-sweet.
