The Slave of Sand and Flame Challenge

Draco Malfoy has received a gift from his mother sometime during his seventh year. A Genie Bottle. Draco uses the stunningly beautiful female genie within as his personal slave, sexual and otherwise. He brings the slave to Hogwarts to act as his bodyslave and it is love at first sight between the slave and Harry Potter. He tries to get her freed, but genies are rare creatures and considered to be property by the Wizarding world so even Dumbledore’s hands are tied. So how does he set his love free and stay within the bounds of the law?

Challenge requirements

• Genie must be exotic in appearance. Either natural exotic (Mediterranean/Arabic) or unusual skin/hair/eye colors
• Genie cannot be Omnipotent. Powers can include *reasonable* levels of wandless transfiguration/charm powers, physical conjuring of objects, metamorphmagi skills, elemental shape shifting (being of fire, sand, etc), and control over the four classical elements, but no out of control wish granting. Genie could exhibit any or all powers but nothing out of control powerful.
• Genie is bound to a physical object. Up to the author if can be freed from said object. Perhaps the Genie wants to stay bound, but wants to have Harry be her master/lover. If so why is that? Will she loses her powers or immortality? Maybe being free will increase her powers, and the Ministry doesn’t want her freed.
• Harry cannot simply just steal or take the object by force; he must outsmart Draco and yet stay within the bounds of the law.
• Genie doesn’t have to be a magical being/creature. Could be a wizard of some kind who was bound to the object through magical experimentation in an effort to gain increased magical powers.
• Why the instant connection between Harry and the Genie? Is it simply chemistry and romance, or something deeper? Are they soulmates? If so, how can Harry be the soulmate of a being that may not even be human? What will the result of the coupling be? Will Harry gain Genie like abilities? Is Harry part genie?
• Needless to say, the love has to go both ways. The genie must be in love with Harry as much as he is in love with her.
• The story can be as smutty or innocent as the author wants (smutty is good).

This challenge has lots of variations and permutations. I hope lots of people take up the challenge because I want to read them. Good luck and great writing.

 

SO basically a jerk off fic with a genie that can turn into anything Harry wants?

 

Its all good but the soulbond thing sounds a little much. Maybe the bond could be just a weak sort of empathy?

 

Wait, so what is the difference between a genie and a witch ? This has got to be one of the worst ideas I've ever heard for a serious fic... and pretty low on the list of smut fics. Sounds like the plot of your run of the mill porno to be brutally honest.

 

If that's the case, then why not just use Tonks? Why give Harry another person that he can rely on in times of trouble, instead of relying on himself? And the whole soulmate thing is just so overused so badly. Not the best idea that I've ever heard.

 

This would work much better if Harry was the genie trapped in the bottle, forced to serve as a male gigolo for some dark lady who captered him (and her commanders/servants/allies). It would be interesting to see how he manipulates the ladies with his services, trying to set himself free...

As for the original idea, I thought it was decent enough, although I was tempted to dislike it simply based on principle, as I always hate Harry getting Malfoy's sloppy seconds.

 

I love IP's idea. Harry goes out to destroy the Horcrux's. Voldemort leaves some spell on it to bind Harry to his soul fragment when he touches it, and Harry becomes Voldemorts pawn. With this bad news, comes some benefits. As a genie he develops powers that put him on par with DD or Voldemort. This could be intentional on Voldemorts part since he is arrogant enough to believe that Harry can never escape the bond, underestimating the determination of his friends to save him.
