Was anyone even cast for the role? I checked on www.IMDB.com and didn't find any Jeyne Poole in first season. So probably no. We won't see this sub-plot developed. Besides, while show Ramsay is a cruel shit he's nothing on the level of book Ramsay.

EDIT: My bad. There is a Jeyne Poole, she's just an unnamed someone. She appeared in ep. 1 S. 1 and was mentioned in ep.4 S. 1.

They're searching for actors to play the roles of Trystane, Obara, Tyene and Nymeria as well as Doran and Areo.

    Martell Casting

I hold my thumbs for some amazing desert shots in season 5.

And no, I doubt there will be any Frey-pie - which is a shame as we'll not see Lord Manderly being a sneaky, smug boss. Remember how they botched a tad Guest rights in season 3? They used Bran as a mouthpiece to exposit on the Guest right and he told Meera and Jojen the story of Rat King when they were cooped in Nightfort? That was before Red Wedding, either an episode before or few scenes before everything went down.

Though, who knows. Since they already told the story maybe they will make the amazing meat pie.

Well, back in first season, there was a girl that played the part of Jeyne Poole, which I only know of because of that GoT wiki, and her father was killed in the Red Keep by Lannister men.

    Here she is:

And as far as the Sand Snakes are concerned, this worries me immensely:

Which series regular character could they ship to Dorne solely for the purpose of fighting Obara Sand and presumably losing? Bronn? I mean, I just don't see any other Lannister, other than Myrcella, willingly going to Dorne.

I just hope the rumors about Jaime going there are completely false. I don't want that shit, there's the Jaime Riverlands arc to consider. They can't just cut that out, can they? It's not exactly a small part of his character arc.

Completely omitted that from memory. But then again, it was a Bran scene, and I can't say I'm too fond of those. Just plug into the treenet, you crippled idiot, it's all you're good for.

If they cut Wyman however, we riot.

No man is as based as Wyman Manderly.

Could be Loras, or maybe Bronn. Who's there that could fight at appropriate 'badass level' to build on the badassery of Obara Sand? Fuck, maybe they will throw Brienne there for one reason or another, though, unlikely.

So, I watched the preview of ep. 10 and man, they are really speeding things up. Arya and Hound meet with Brienne(the shoulder piece of armor looks like it belongs to the one Jaime gave her in style and color).

And did Cersei just taunt Tywin with 'teh Incest'?

She might be talking about Tyrion or Jaime. I don't think she'd be that fucking stupid to try and rub it in Tywin's face, though chances are he knew for a long time and didn't give that much of a fuck so long as it stayed hidden and not widely circulated as a rumor, like it is now.

Tywin is an odd case. For a man who talks so much shit about family legacy, he never remarried after Joanna and tried having more children.

I'm fonder of the show Tywin than book Tywin but that just might be Charles Dance working his magic. The thing is that I suspect he thinks he already did his 'duty'. Three children, two of them healthy ain't shabby in medieval setting. It really isn't his fault he had two incestuous twins who like looking into mirror image of their faces when fornicating and a dwarf too smart for his own good.

Besides, he's the Lion of the Rock. Staying a hard-core widower fits with his character. Or maybe he just didn't enjoy being reduced to stud function. The proud, bald man probably found something offensive about it.

Whores don't count, cause hypocrisy ;P.

He probably just didn't want to give up fucking whores and working a time-schedule around his wife, finding every whore his dwarf son has fucked, managing to get them delivered to whatever his current place of residence might be, fucking them and then shipping them off to the brothel "Wherever whores go" would have been just too much money/time-consuming.

Well, it seems that my laziness has made the Unsullied go into self-imposed exile in a new thread.

On the point Odran raised about how the Lannister gold mines haven't, in the books, actually run dry - this, amongst other interesting stuff, was confirmed in the recent ConCarolinas reading.

EDIT: And yeah, Lena Headey is quite the troll.

Cool stuff, especially about the Raynes. I wondered if Tywin's grandmother had been a Rayne actually, but this is better I think.

Sealing up the Castamere mines, diverting the local water to flood the whole damn thing and then putting the above-ground keep levels to the torch... Tywin sure likes to be thorough.

Reading that actually made me like Tywin even more.

I'm leaning in the other direction, actually. Tywin was always Great and Wise commander when he outnumbered his enemies. We saw that in The Battle of the Blackwater Bay and now we saw it with Tarbecks/Reynes.

It actually made me appreciate Robb Stark, a 14 year old boy, a lot more. A 14 year old boy who while outnumbered landed a series of punches against Tywin.

Pity Tywin landed the K.O. jab.

But got to give Tywin his dues. He's a cold, pragmatic leader.

An interview with Stephen Dillane about his GoT role, amongst other things

    http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/ent...han-seize-the-iron-throne-20140614-3a3s6.html

    This is just sad.

Well that explains quite a lot actually. I wondered why Dillane acted the same in Hunted(2012 TV series) and GoT. I thought at first that he was just going through the motions but latter decided that, meh both Stannis and Keel were of the stoic variety so who cares.

Coincidently, I'm curious if we'll see Stannis riding to the rescue of Night's Watch in season finale?

Rumors online say that charge, where his knights chant "STANNIS STANNIS STANNIS", might be crammed in between Dany and Arya scenes, totaling all of 3-5 minutes.

OFFS! Because we absolutely need a Dany scene, though, I won't mind CGI dragons going apeshit.

I wonder how they will tackle the Arya tie up for this season. I mean she was traipsing all over Riverlands, Crownlands and Vale. I hope there will be some resolution because as far a 'travelling-as-plot-device' it gets a bit dull after two seasons.

Here's to Davos having few nice lines in the ep. The really sad thing is that we get more out of Davos than we get get out of Stannis. Davos is all active, trying to do something while Stannis broods and plays with his utensils while his wife and his priestly mistress have creepy conversations.

Do you think we will see whether or not "he" shits gold in this season, or the beginning of season 5.

Well, I guess this episode confirms that Bran is not eating Jojen in ADWD.

Why not? We don't know exactly what happened to his body, could be she made it disappear somewhere else.

I loved the choir version of the theme song they played at the end of the episode.

That was a solid ending to the season. I'm satisfied.
