The social group notification mod, and/or the user's social group to forum home mod. Pretty please <3

Awesomesauce. And I love the Mentioned-mod too ... now people only need not abuse it, and we can have Nice Things.

Here's how the social group mod works: It gives you a notice if there's a new post in any group you're a member of. What it can't do because vB is tell you in which group exactly. Still better than nothing, though.

If you want to get rid of old alerts you can do this: Check the Group Tools menu at the upper right in the group, just above the threads, and select Mark This Group Read.

I might be able to modify it to tell you. We'll see though. It might be worth just shuffling that other mod in and putting it at the bottom below all the forums.
