I have a hard enough time finding (or at least attempting to find) one scum, teams are too out there for me.

I know what you mean tho, its like if we can find one then it'll be easier.

This game feels grim, and its not just these shadowy city streets and dark alleyways leading into death.

oh hey they fluffykins, come and play.

This is why I felt you sheeped me onto her after I posted

    @Lyrium

I'm almost positive both your scum-teams are wrong. Try again, without including me or Titus. What're your thoughts on the scum-team then?

Honest answer? Nope. I got distracted by my read on Citrus, then christmas, then I got sick (and still am). I'll try to burrow in on that tonight

A point that I think Atum made that I like because I didn't think of it was that if town kills Riddler first then that is a scum plus because Clayface can take on Riddler's abilities for a night and soup us.

Tying in to Titus' point about how scum priority is to kill Riddler.

Citrus, I have to think. There are some things about Titus that still surprise me although let's say I believe all the crumbing for what it is and put MB, Ter, Snow in a town bloc.

That leaves Kento who is null.

Malakittens, and I agree with your read on her.

fluffy who is on my scumdar because of his single vote...that is why my alarm over Titus as well in case he is 2Face and that one vote was going to be a distractor.

Rubicon is actually an engima. Like he's a nearly universal town read and that makes me feel squishy inside.

We don't have a Leader or Two Leaders Who Lead Like a Leader Needs to Lead. We kind of have conciliatory cautiosness.

    Sure thing.

    Titus
    Snowvon

Mostly a holdover from earlier reads, since going through his posts made me feel better about him somewhat. I'm also suspicious because he's outwardly stood by his read on me and despite once or twice alluding to reservations, I haven't seen any effort on his part to interface with me for either greater conviction or to convince the town I should be lynched. It feels more like he's waiting for others to come after me, despite repeated calls for him to do otherwise. Short version: Snow, come at me. Seriously.

    Fluffy

Same early things that I thought were off about him apply. It felt like he was hesitant to share his full reads D1, but also didn't want to say that. Also scumreads me early on for tunneling him, which was :facepalm. I also think some of his posts, again especially earlier point to a mindset of looking for scummy players (i.e. lynchbait) as opposed to actual scum. Haven't really updated my read here because A) Was inactive B) Titus is more threatening as groupscum and a more viable lynch target.

    Rubicon

Recent addition off of the null list. Mostly suspicious because his early town game is pretty similar to his scum game as far as WH4 showed. He does a lot of questioning and answers questions addressed to him, but not really pushing lynches. Moreso pointing out things he finds scummy and asking about them, but not trying to convince others in order to advance the gamestate. My proof for that is that according to a readwall of his I was his biggest townread, and the most pressure I've really seen from him is 'a scathing review' of a readwall that I fielded. So yes, pressure but it's gone nowhere, despite him scumreading me from D1. Instead, I think he's pressuring and joining wagons more opportunistically, but still in keeping with his stated reads. That wouldn't be all that bad, but it's day three and after 2 consecutive mislynches going with that, I'd expect an experienced town player to be more proactive about pushing reads he was surest about and I haven't seen that from him.

    Townreads:

    Kento

I've been townreading him all game, which probably means it's time to take another look, since I felt the same about Sloth in WW, but here there's none of the things that made Sloth suspicious in that game to dissuade me if I make it to lategame. Regardless, I've pretty much solidly agreed with his reads, haven't seen any scum tells, just a really solid read. I dunno, it's hard to explain why I'm townreading him so hard but I like his reads, I like his questions, and I haven't seen anything off from him that I can recall.

    MathBlade

She's tough. Before CYS I would have said that she's been too MathBladeish to not be town, but that doesn't seem like much a defense after she lied using the same qualities in that game. MB I may forgive your deceit but I'll never forget it.

At first I was pretty convinced that MB was the Riddler, because I couldn't follow the thought process of her reads, and I think I usually get MB in that regard even though everything else gets lost, and for other reasons I can't recall. I abandoned that because I can't see a balancer or 3p or whatever being this wholeheartedly willing to enter the metaphorical center stage of the thread and aggro all comers, it seems too risky, and if that's the ploy kudos to her.

And on sheeping, that was unfortunately coincidental, but I see why you formed that opinion. I'd urge you to read the rest of my posts on her since that's the case. I apologize for my language.

@All: I think we need to stop looking for an entire scum team and start focusing on one or two people that might be in it. Without a scum flip I don't see the point and I think looking for a few scum might produce more immediate results (successful lynches) than looking for all 5 simultaneously. With that in mind, who's everyone's #1 scumread?

I kinda see the merit in this. This is my preference at least. While looking for teams is good a lot of it may be wasted time if we don't have a confirmed scum flip to base it on

I have think there's scum* in Lyr/Zen/Citrus and would be willing to vote for any of these at this point. At the moment I think Citrus is the strongest target to go for.

*including both non town factions under this label. It's easier.

    Didn't know you were here!

What's your thoughts on my 3 read lumps, specifically the null pile and the scum pile?

What do you think of Malakittens?

    What about Q?

---------- Post automerged at 08:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:51 PM ----------

    @Atum

Assume Titus is not scum, what are your thoughts on the scum-team?

Still disagree on Snowvon. I find the easiest way to read him is his style/tone, and granted one day he could trick me with it but it's been reliable up til now. Kinda a harder read to explain beyond that.

Actually, I'd like @Rubicon to give his opinion on your read on Snowvon.

I see your points on Rubicon, but as far as the logical thought progression goes - trying to get Quanksor to post more at one point in D2 for developing a read on him, engaging with Riley to get him to post more, baiting fluffiness into pushing his scumread on him harder.

Kento + Mathblade we agree on.

    Don't include me in a scum-team. What's a scum-team you think is possible?

---------- Post automerged at 08:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:57 PM ----------

The thing about Mathblade is, I feel like she would have souped a bunch of people by now if she were Riddler. Plus there's a few players that ?may? have directly crumbed to her already.

---------- Post automerged at 08:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:58 PM ----------

Try. Throw out three scum-teams based off your scumreads

Citrus, I know. I crumbed pretty hard to her as well so I would be one of the dead.

If I had to choose a person to kill as scummy, I would go with:
    Titus
    Malkittens
    fluffy

    One of those three.

It's beyond me how you have Lyrium as null. Otherwise, I think Zenzao came across all right when TerRaine was pressuring him, the other two are scummy.

Your Mala and Riley reads are lurker-scum reads, which is kinda boring.

The fact that she crumbed her role to MathBlade and MathBlade knew what she meant could be a mark in her favor.

    Qgqqqqq is still scum.

I think scum hate it when you don't give them something to argue against.

Any unaligned pairs jump out at you while you were reading?

Rubicon, did you get malkittens crumb? At one point she crumbed my role so I don't know that made warning bells go off.

I agree on Zen, Snow being town or easy lynch targets.

How are you feeling on Titus? Is her "Kill Batman" just hubris or is that like Level A scum tactics?

Does TerRaine's obsession with me seem normal conf bias or like what?

Oh and Atum. What is Atum?

Rubicon, can you link me to why you think Q is scum? I'm rereading all his posts from D1 and so far he's seeming SLIGHTLY towny to me. Maybe the questionable plays come later but so far I'm seeing a player who is pressuring people. There are a few questionable moments in my read so far but nothing too damning for me. Just enough to pique my interested and warrent a slightly closer look.

I am noticing a bit of defensive language and mannerisms early on but I'm seeing it paired with pressure on other players and continuing to press people about their reads.

His early vote on Nemrut/house/Titus was odd since he said earlier "Hum, thanks for your note on Nemrut, I can see where you're going there. Not enough to form a conclusion without more, obviously but suspicious nontheless."

The pressure vote idea is a bit lost when you say in the same post that this vote isn't because you think they're scummy just a bit off.

264 - Switched Vote to Atum; I will admit that I don't like the vote hoping. Once you introduce the idea that your just voting to "change the dynamic" as opposed to actually believing someone is scum with reasons it changes the reaction of your intended target.

Pressures his reads strongly but through D1 seemed VERY focused on Lyrium. Then again I was the same on parts of D2 and D3 so this isn't really a scumtell to me. As D1 progressed he began to pull away from that beginning to give his opinions on Sloth and Quank both feeling town to him or at least not as scummy as we were seeing them.

Continuing on in my hunt but this is where I stand on him so far. There's some questionable moments but nothing jumping up and slapping me in the face.

Q I do have one complaint and maybe you fix it later but when you quote things can you PLEASE leave the link and person's name in the quote? It makes it very hard to trace back to the original post for context when trying to follow a train of thought
