Lets put a comic spin on a overused concept...

Harry somehow finds out that he's the Heir to the Legandary Wizard, Merlin... now, finding that out he gets convinced he has to have some new great power to be unlocked...

But actually, Merlin, his skill as a spell creater and good connections aside was never actually much of a wizard and his only heir was a squib...

Harry thinks that Merlin's vault, which ofcourse is vault #1, will contain massive amounts of lost lore, wealth, and magic items.

It actually contains 20 gallions in devalued currency and the world's largest intact collection of medieval wizarding porn.

Basically, in the end, he gets 20 gallions (if he's dumb enough to take the excange rate), a massive nunber of naughty (moving) drawings, the rights to vault #1, and yet another obnoxious title.

Any biters?

 

I agree. Someone who is good at humor could do this.

 

This would do quite well for a humor fic maybe a one shot. I'd definitely read any response to this challenge.

 

THat could be good, maybe make the pill even more bitter, and have him find some mushy lumps at the back of the vault, that used to be books. he wouldn't know if they were more porn or actual spell books that got damp over the millenia.

 

This could be a great one shot humor story, I agree with Mordecai, he should find some destroyed books and scrolls in the vault, not knowing if they are more porn or some ancient spells. Maybe also find the legendery Staff of Merlin that turns out to be a walking staff that is enchanted to keep the staff dry while in rain or something equally useless.

 

Or maybe, the staff actually has a really cool enchantment, that means if Harry wants it too it makes it thunder everytime it touches the ground. Really cool, but utterly useless.

 

this would be good, in the vault, like mordecaj said, he could find some books at the back of the vault. But instead of them being lumps of mush, they should be absolutley useless. Like a book containing the "new" stunner, disarming charm, etc..

 

No books. You keep your books where you can read them... only reason his porn was in the vault was to protect it from his wife
