Subject: Harry Potter's First Movie

Message Body:

Right after Harry uses accidental magic, (for example: after accidentally apperates himself to the roof to escape); he finds some money on the street and decides to use it to see a movie at a nearby theater so Vernon won't have a chance to take the cash away.

The punk manning the ticket booth couldn't care less how old Harry is and will let him in to see any movie or movie marathon currently playing.

This movie or set of movies will end up shaping his entire future....


Challenge #1 :

Summary: How seeing a movie can change Harry's destiny forever

Rules:
* The movie theatre has to show movies of the correct time - Only movies made in 1991 or before (I think that's about the right time frame)

* Harry has to have used accidental magic only a little while before and is still confused what occured.

* The movies can have any rating.

* Have Fun!

Err... I don't see how seeing one movie can change someone's future, accidental magic or not. Maybe if Vernon forced him to help out at the theater, enabling him to watch movies of a certain genre all day long (horors? romances? pornos?), it could have an effect.

 

It's an interesting idea.

Personally I'd like an Nightmare on Elm street Harry.
He could use Legilimancy to hack into peoples heads and stuff.

Also that's where I got my sick mind from, so could be a way to turn Harry dark.

Go with what IP said, it makes more sense if he has to help there, not that he just watches one movie.

 

The Godfather or the Exorcist. (Have't seen the exorcist because im not aloud until im eighteen but from what i have heard its suposed to be really scary) The godfather movies could have harry run whatever house he goes into. (Suprisingly its seems to me that gryfindor would be the ideal house to be in in the godfather case. Plent of loyal manipulative people or maybe hufflepuff.)

look under real life in video games at the sticky no talk about BLANK it will get you banned. I was only banned for 1 and a half days. Needless to say I won't be asking questions about that again.

 

That's true. I was thinking though that young Harry wouldn't be allowed to see any movies at all living with the Dursley's - so that the few he does manage to see would have a much bigger influence on him.

But if the theatre manager needs someone to help out after school and Harry volunteers (or the Dursley's force him to and take his money), that's good too.

I like it. Say that Harry reciently accidently blew something up. Next day, he is working the projection booth and sees Stephen King's: Firestarter.

 

Heh, I can picture it now:

"Hogwarts school of Witchcraft?" Harry said, crumpling up the letter. "Yeah, right. I can just imagine all the children strapped to metal examination tables the day after the parents leave - either waiting to be disected or brainwashed into assassins. And that owl probably has remote controlling and tracking implants. Well, I can take care of that."

The Hogwarts owl took a nervous, tentative step back from the boy whose hands suddenly caught fire.

 

Sounds like a great Idea I read a story where Harry got the Puzzle box from the H*llraiser movies when he was younger and he solved it and It killed the Dursleys, I know not relevant
