I don't know. On one hand, you have a point. Many of these "old stories" are a part of DLP's (and of the HP fandom's) history and we shouldn't just trash them. However, I also believe that the core of DLP is quality stories (other than the S&P stuff :p). The DLP Library is a representation of the very best stories the fandom has to offer in terms of quality - quality that this story, and many other old ones, lack when it comes to a modern perspective.

If we are going strictly by quality, these stories should, and must, be trashed. However, many of these classics, while they might not have aged well, carry a significance as they heavily impacted the HP fandom in the past.

My idea is this. Maybe we could have a "Honorable Mentions" category within the Library. In here, we can have the old classics that don't deserve to be in the library in terms of modern quality, but have a historical significance. And in the library list, there could be a "Honorable Mentions On/Off" button that will include/exclude these stories in the library list depending on what the user wants. That way, we could preserve these stories, while having the Library more polished and modernized.

    Edit: Ninja-ed :p
