Keep in mind that how you say something is just as important as what you say. Had she mentioned it in passing, or as an afterthought, or if someone had asked her, or if it were her intro or her profile, or in any number of other ways, then people probably would have been fine with it. The point was that she was not only telling people she had it, she was wearing as some kind of badge of honour, something that she wanted us to notice - or at least that was the impression given by her tone.

Also bear in mind that she didn't get banned for the thread - that was locked and left to die. It was her PM that pissed Mid off.

 

Many feel the need to take it up to the highest power, and truthfully, I can see how many feel that Midknight is the best to come to for there problems.

If you check the thread, I did say that I found her original post to be a reasonable one. It was the fact that she kept mentioning it, and the tone of her replies (E-peen posturing without the penis) that caused me to argue with her.

On a side note, I find it amusing to get PMs from members who I have never heard of or who never post reporting a thread/post that has morally outraged them. Or they make light of the situation, not call attention to it.

Exactly what I was saying, Mid. Many people write those things, because they're normal for them and without begging for sympathy and then it should be no problem.
I've seen the edits and don't know how her posts looked before, so I also don't know if Taure's complaining was appropriate. I don't care to be honest, I'm just glad that it seems to be okay for most people when others mention something like that.

As for the doctors over-diagnosing kids: You're preaching to the choir. I've worked with children and teens who're really mentally ill and often wanted to punch all the parents and doctors sending their kids because they're too lazy to raise a child that's just a bit more on the lively side.
