A thread like this one (or the character tags thread) might actually be useful for someone trying to write fanfiction and not as familiar with HP canon as most of DLP is. Most of us have read the books numerous times, read threads discussing all their qualities (real and imagined), and are quick to notice/point out discontinuities.

But some folks don't re-read books that many times but want to write anyway. Someone who only read the books, say, twice, might not mind having a reference sheet of sorts to go to. Though it doesn't need to be spread out across various threads.

That said, well, yeah. It's a tool for authors and we have three kinds of authors that I've seen: (1) The really good ones, who don't need this, (2) The ones who post in WbA and therefore have plenty of help and personalized feedback to fix any personality issues, and (3) the ones that couldn't be eff'd to use something like this anyway because they suck and don't last long. Only (2) would benefit, and them only somewhat.

Still, I will attempt to contribute.

**10 minutes later** Ok, so I was going to do Aberforth, but I couldn't be arsed to search through the books. I was trying to find a specific quote of his from Deathly Hallows but I couldn't find it in my copy, and I don't have a searchable eBook copy, so this will be mostly from Google (and therefore incomplete).

Aberforth Dumbledore

Haunted -- Death of younger sister has led to estrangement with his older brother.
Protective (of specific things/people) -- Took care of his sister. Punched his brother at her funeral.
Strange -- Lots of rumors involving him and goats, plus he has a goat patronus.

...and that's all I got off the top of my head. I wanted to add "morally ambiguous" to the list but I couldn't come up with a good specific example, and I have no quotes at all, so probably not much help. If the thread actually happens (highly doubtful) maybe someone else will flesh it out.

But, I have got to add this...
