Fangirls find two guys attractive, but since most of fangirls live in monogamous societies, they find the idea of having a harem 'wrong' (or maybe it's more biological than social, girls aren't wired to be attracted to the idea of a harem), so they create a "proper" relationship of the two guys being together, rather than imagining herself having both guys to herself.

Combine this with the fact most fangirls cannot write their way out of a paper bag, a homosexual relationship offers many avenues to create tension and suspense. Cutting, guilt -- angst in general. "TRUE LURVE" can also make an appearence.

Really, it's perfect, catering to a fangirl's poor writing skills and their own ignorance of their body's desires and society's mechanisms, they can satisfy that itch for intamacy.

 

@Chime: So you're saying these girls wanna be gang banged by all of the decent looking guys, but instead they go for some slash pairings? Sounds fun.

Please tell me that is not your only reason. However if the next lot are going to be as badly mangled as the fourth and fifth was, I would have to agree.
However I find it hard to see how they can make any worse.
Why do I think in saying that I guaranteed it would be far worse.


As for not making books into movies, the bad book movies must continue otherwise they will make terrible role playing game and video game movies more often.

Word to the wise to those who didn't understand that point, don't ever see the dungeons and dragons movie. And yes there is one, if fact there are two. It has to be the only case in history when the sequel was a better movie, terrible but better. And you would be hard pressed to name a good video game based movie. Resident Evil is the closest you would get and that's average not good.

I wait on the WoW movie, not because it will be good, but as the combination of a role playing game based movie, and a Video game based movie, it will be so fun to watch how bad it actually will be. My bet is it will beat the disaster that was... Honestly I can't think of any movie that was bad enough to compare to how bad I think this movie will be.

Seriously, I used read alot on FFN and not so much now as maybe 70% of the fics i find have so mention of slash or an awful ship (i.e. GinnyHarry)

The proliferation of slash is actually killing my love of fanfiction, what is the world coming to? WHAT, I ASK YOU!!!!!!!
