Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Pendant of Slytherin, its one of the few non-slash Fics that don't make him out to be either an incompetent idiot or some sort of repulsive villain to stomp on. I even felt sorry for him in the next Fic I read after that... for a short while at least ;-)

I second these and add TLIL's Viktor Krum. When used at all, Krum is generally little more than a monosyllabic jock with convenient foeign DarkArts knowlegde, but JBern made the taciturn but likeable Krum we saw in canon into everything that Draco Malfoy should have been and made me hate that guy.

Agree, at least on Ron. I won't spoil it but the train ride back to Hogwarts at the beginning of third year, well - let's say it sets the tone for the new Ron Weasley.

Both Millicent and Blaise are exceptional in how well-developed they are in this story. My opinion however is that Blaise is the more fleshed-out and nuanced of the two. I would also say that the story has done more to redeem the legendary reputation of Slytherin House as the natural home for the cunning and the ambitious than any other story I've read.

    Addition For Great Justice:

Scenes from the Hog’s Head Inn by wotcher_wombat (DLP thread)
-- Really expanded my view of Aberforth. And Sirius, come to think on it.

Back to the Garden by Antosha (DLP thread) <-- YMMV as there are some unsavory I either skipped or erased from my mind. Caveat Lector!
-- Caused me to re-examine my thoughts on Pansy Parkinson, and as I read it prior to the release of DH it also colored my view of Ron a bit as well. I've always liked Ron but his characterization in this story was exceedingly well done.
