ANYTHING where Harry is raped by Vernon or Dudley, come on folks! We know he was starved and shoved in a cupboard and occasionally hit BUT RAPED?! I highly doubt that those two are so corrupt, i mean so what? Dudley drinks and smokes weed...what teenager doesn't? and Vernon has a temper...but now he finds Harry "Beautiful, and irresistable" yea...rite buddy...go sit in a dark corner and keep your fantasies to yourself...thanks!

ANYTHING WHERE HARRY HAS A JAPANESE FAMILY MEMBER WHO TEACHES HIM ANYTHING RELATING TO INUYASHA, DRAGON BALL, OR ANYOTHER ANIME! Harry Potter is a FANTASY NOVEL, NOT a japanese anime film! :evil:

And the one thing I absolutely hate with all my soul are any fics where Harry is angsty (yay fun!) shows up at 12 Grimmauld Place, tries to be alone and is SLAPPED by some upstart redheaded twat who thinks she can compare her life because she had one small incident WHICH SHE HAS NO RECOLLECTION OF where Voldie possessed her!! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?! Who does she think she is that she can go up to this kid who is MOURNING for his godfather and tell him to "suck it up cuz i was possessed so i know what you're going through" GRR

And the Most Most Most Most Most Most hated thing in almost EVERY FIC that i've ever read are the following two words....

I DARESAY

Albus Dumbledore is over 100 years old, do you not think over that century his vocabulary has grown so that he does not have to repeat this phrase after every other sentence?! :evil: :evil:

Let's see, I've got so many that it would take forever to pick, so I'll just choose some random ones.

- Canon Rape. It drives me absolutely nuts when people blatantly ignore things without any explanation or any warning (AU or otherwise). And of course I say this, but I am probably quite guilty of it in my own fic.

- Abused!Draco. I just can't see it. He worships his father, and I find it highly unlikely that his spoiled personality comes from being smacked around.

- Ginny or Hermione going through a makeover and suddenly being absolutely gorgeous so that Harry falls suddenly in love with them.

- Harry the Cutter. Self-explanatory.

- People that write author's notes after practically evey sentence - goes something like this: "Harry looked up wearily as Ron entered the room, wishing the redhead would go away." (Harry's so gonna leik H8 Ron in this fic, OK!!11!!)

- People that don't warn for Animal Cruelty in their fics. I know this might sound odd on a Dark!Harry forum, but I am a huge animal person. Do whatever you want to the animals in your fics, but if you are going to be torturing, maiming, or otherwise harming a kitten, dog, snake, whatever, then please warn for it, so I can hit the back button.

I'll stop rambling now, but those are just a few of my pet peeves.

 

What really pisses me off is everytime I go on ffn

-the stupid search thing is useless as well as there pairing engine

-Slash fics are just over killed with harry/who ever guy

-SOme of us would like to find a fic where harry is not a pansy ass little wanker stuck with hermione or ginny

-Vampire fics WHat thwe hell are ppl thinking ALL SLASH write a hetero version for people jesus h. christ

- to many fics about the same general subject
a, harry escapes azkaban and ends up on some island
b, Dumbledork is a manipulative bastard
c, harry always has the same pet in dark fics a basalisk and a phoenix(be it black or normal)

i just want to add is that if harry starts being cold and wants nothing to do with ron and hermione and the rest of his"family" then why the hell do you secretly make him be concerned over them??

and i would also like to add the why then hell would Dumbledore be evil or manipulitave(sp?) or whatever when MAYBE he just a nice guy who is human and made some mistake in his life.why would you turn him in a ligh version of voldemort come on people.harry dosent have to like him for his mistakes but dont make him evil or whatever to make so harry has a reason to hate him.i mean thats just me

 

adding into my peeves is something i thought of in another thread.

+stories where the author is too lazy to come up with their own spells, and instead has entire battles where ppl are casting tickle/disarming/minor cutting/pain/ and the killing curse.

And after today's reading session I've come up with a few more, which are probably fairly high on my all time list now:

-stories that start off strong and good, but suddenly peter off for no reason. Alot of Azkaban stories have these. They start off great, but then they just die down to tons of boring repetative chapters.

-Stories that have Harry become near godlike in power in the start, and yet he STILL GOES BACK TO HOGWARTS and struggles with his classes?!?!?!

Sorry, even the "he's going back to spy" angle is BS. with godlike powers and tons of cash, he could PAY someone to spy FOR him.

Simply put if you write a God-Harry fic and you you can't write the )(*^&@& story without using Hogwart's experiences to be filler for 50K words, then DONT WRITE the story!

I really cannot start to believe after he's been in touch with so much power, that he'd NEED to go to class. Even the whole "SO Dumbledore won't be suspicious" angle is crap. If the author spends half the story building Harry up to God, and stronger then Dumbles, screw it, kill Dumbles!

That is SOOO fucking annoying.. i dunt mind the occasional godlike!harry .. but now all the authors kinda suck.. and there are no good new ones.. or old ones for that matter... The one by Ensign [Harry Potter and The Walkers I think] wasn't to bad but i dun think it falls into that catagory and its a HP/GW ... i was ... concerned about reading it after that though...

 

Lord Caer was good, but the way he was writing it.. he needs to just have a 3some between Becky/Hermione/Harry and get it over with, and stop all this "We reallllllllllllllllyyyyyyy care about you.. alot" crap. Just have them bang the guy and get it over with, all this beating around this bush crap is annoying to read.

It's well written other then that, but it went to hell as soon as the author brought Harry and his SMALL FREAKING studen army to Hogwarts. I mean if those kids were ALL he had at his command yeah I could see him being forced, but Azkaban has a freaking standing military in that story =(

Harry's going to Azkaban for a "brief" time in my story, but omg is there going to be hell to pay for it. No going back to Hogwarts! Filler material? I don't need no stinkin' filler material

 

yeah.. it was slightly annoying harry went back to hogwarts in wakers but i stopped reading it around chapter 10 so i dunno if it got any better,,, prolly not..

and yeah.. i liked Caer for a while, while it looked to be a HP/OC .. but im kinda iffy on the whole HP/HG/OC thing...

yeah and the returning to hogwarts filler... bah... not worth it... ive got a sort of Evil/Azkaban!harry combo thing going... its fun to write when i can get it to go right... and ginny weasley even gets hers in the first chapter! ^_^ ... now if i can only finish it!

 

I kinda of liked the way she got rid of the annoying idiot. But its personal preference I guess.

Harry's gonna be mature in my story as well, but for the simple fact I know how I acted as a teenager, WAY more mature then the kids have been written by JKR. Well on most fronts anyway. My harry, when he's still in his teens is going to have his sex libido set on overdrive, like all teens do =)

On the maturity level, for example, whining about Sirius? PLUZE! He's had what 2 decent conversations with Harry? Hell Harry knows the nameless mailperson better then he knows Sirius.
