    And, the most important point:

    8 ) Lane pressure.

The enemy can't push like crazy because if they push like crazy, it means that you can gank them much more easily. It's some sort of psychological pressure because they don't know where you are and they have either to play very carefully - thus, farming less well - or spend gold in wards.

I'm sure all of you have seen the Fizz sneak peak by now, but they have the mechanics preview up as well in the announcements forum but not on the news feed.

I am curious about something. I know why they do it (money) but I was wondering if they ever release champs that aren't 6300 ip. I have been playing for a little over a year and I can't really remember the last time a new champ was less than 6300 ip other than rumble and jarvan who were both 4800. I am sure I am forgetting some but it is just getting annoying.

    Trundle was 4800 as well.

They do it for server stability and general gameplay issues. If they release a champion for 450/1350/3150, everyone and their mother can buy the champ. What that leads to is everyone and their mother spamming custom games to play the new champ, and everyone and their mother queue dodging when they don't lock in the champ first. No one enjoys 15 minute queues with 10-12 queue dodges. It was worse when they first started releasing champs because then everyone and their mother could afford the 6300s anyway.

Seems odd to me. I can easily get 6300 IP every two weeks. Is everyone buying runes, or something?

Makes sense I suppose. I also feel that they do it because most people don't have 6300 ip lying around and most people don't like putting in the work to build the ip but want to play the new champs. Enter the RP.

Just out of curiosity, how many games a week do you play?

I used to be able to easily as well, but when I took a break I fell behind on champions so now whenever I get to 6300 I have another champ to buy...
I'm slowly making some headway though and I should have enough to buy Fizz when he comes out.

See now I find myself faced with the issue of wanting New champions, but not having the IP to buy the runes that would mean I could play them well.

    It's really rather frustrating.

I've got enough IP to buy more, like, say, Jax. But I don't have the runes he needs to be at his best. But if I spend all the IP on runes.. I won't have it to buy him.

Damn them and their wily ways to make a person want to buy RP. I know I would have by now if I could afford it.

I don't know what you're all doing, but playing Dom a lot has put me at 12k IP currently. I play enough to get about 7.5k IP a week.

    FWotD = 2100 IP per 14 days

    Also:

Fizz, the new water champion, has 2 skills shown now.

One's basically a damaging version of Zhonya's that you can spam. Another is literal shark bait.

    Xypherous on Fizz skills: LINK

    TL;DR on Fizz skills:
    AP/Melee champ with Mana resource.

Passive = Mini Ghost. Small speed boost + no unit collision.

Q = Blink skill shot attack. Move fixed distance in a line.

W = Some type of steroid to let him melee or an on-hit with some good power behind it.

    E = Playful and Trickster:

Playful = .75s Invincibility time. Activates Trickster skill.

Trickster = 400 pixel range. .25s self-bind on landing. Can be used again for 250 pixel hop and small AOE at impact. If not used again, will deal AOE damage around himself and slow everything. If used to hop over a bush, will reveal inside bushes. Has a buffer time for animation, so you can't double hop mid-jump.

Shark Bait (Ulti): Skill Shot. Hits Champs only. Attaches to target. Knock-up on primary, knock-back on AOE, slow on everything. Scaling CD, with final around 70s. If no target is hit, it becomes a land mine waiting to nom someone.

Fizz also has grievous wounds on either Q or W. Wounds cuts all healing and regen effects in half.

So, who would ya'all say is better to pick up for Melee, Garen or Jax?

Garen I have most the runes for, and I love his Kit.

Jax, however, seems to be more effective, and harder to kill. Even if he doesn't have the sustain that Garen has. But I don't have the dodge and such runes needed for him.

    For Garen vs Jax:

Depends. With Garen in the right comp, you can easily shut down enemies. He's a beast early game with some CC on his side or against melees.

Jax scales like mad. If you can live through his average early and mediocre mid, you'll stomp people hard at late-game. Best used with proper rune set to make him snowball early so he bypasses his weak mid-game.

I'd rather have a Garen that Jax just because even a mediocre Garen can do something useful, unlike a mediocre Jax.

Jax isn't that great. He's pretty easy to gank, not incredibly difficult to lane against, and pretty easy to deal with late game. He's a hard carry but can't handle being focused like trynd/olaf and in general isn't a good pick.

He hasn't seen much tournament play except the time that HSGG picked him and dominated some EU teams. Their meta was behind ours at the time and that annoying long-haired shout caster from their EU staff actually said HSGG was "trolling the spectators" with his jax pick, because no one on EU side knew how strong Jax was or how to deal with him.
Once you do know though, he isn't really that great.

So, I picked up Garen instead. Since Jax's Runes are all ridiculously expensive, and I had most of Garen's already.

And then proceeded to rape face in a few 5v5s. I LOVE Spin2Win and that Silence. Makes for awesome ganking.

Won four games in a row, until I was paired with an absolutely terrible Shaco and Kassadin, and an only Mediocre Miss Fortune.

    So, Garen. Awesome.

Any prediction on nerfs/buffs next patch?

    I think they'll nerf Irelia.

Why would they? She's not nearly as nasty as say, Akali, and players have been calling for an Akali nerf forever. And yet it never comes.

No, I'm betting they'll Nerf Graves a bit more (he's still not squishy enough for an AD carry with his amount of burst and the utility of smokescreen/Dash.)

Just like they did with Vayne.

Shyvana might get a little adjustment, but not much.

I hope they don't touch my dragon lady. She has made me love jungling so much. She is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Jon knows what I'm talking about judging from his match history that I saw when she first came out.

Had to dig through some googles to find this, but here ya go:
    http://na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=1214567

Shyvana may get massive absurd buffs or she won't be touched until next patch. Graves might get another nerf. Sion might be touched. Wukong may be nerfed. Some random champion who is seemingly perfectly balanced will get some unwanted attention.

How do you guys feel about Taric? He looks interesting, and I need to add a support to my selection. I already have an ad carry (trend/twitch) an AP carry (kassadin and teemo), a hybrid (skarner). I haven't played many tanks, but I've enjoyed support when I played it on Sona. Technically, twitch and (skarner can jungle, and I can if necessary, but I think skarner is much better in a lane.
