TBH kmfrank that style of beginning chapters stems pretty far back into fanfiction, into the days prior to ffnet. The .alt stories and little websites with Ranma, Eva, and Sailor Moon. A lot of writers started their stuff off like that. Of course then, it was with far less pretentiousness and with a lot more silliness.

Some even started it with them talking to chibi's of the characters in their stories. Those however have always been lame.

 

SRSLY, the Evangelion Avatar was better. I can't help but stare at your avatar and feeling creeped out afterward. It's like one of those old oil painting portraits whose eyes seems to follow you around the room.

 

7ate9 is now fully aware that is avatar has a creep factor of over 9000. 7ate9 is now aware he is the creepiest guy on DLP. These things are now accepted as fact and will be remembered by all.

Can we move-on so as not to clutter more threads? I don't mind the jibes, but it's taking over one to many threads at this point.
