One idea I had was what if after 5th year, Harry realized that he was under Dumble's tumb and realized that he basically had no chance in hell to basically win because he was just too damned sheltered. He had no experence with killing, was being given no training, and simply put had no killer instinct.

He needed to get away and he needed to go somewhere to become the monster he needed to become to kill the monster that murdered his parents. To do so he decided to go to what has to possibly be the most corrupt city in the western world. A City that destorys or corrupts all that it comes in contact with. A city where you can vanish under the paper thin venier of civilization with ease and never be found unless you were inept, unlucky, or sold out...

He makes his way to Basin City. To Sin City...

I'm thinking Harry could basically be interesting... See Harry study the dark arts, see Harry hang out with Marv, see Harry kill many bad people in various interesting and painful ways while hanging out with Marv useing said dark arts. See Harry drool over Nancy, see Harry help out the Old Town Girls, see Harry get "rewarded" for helping out the old town girls... ect...

Basically Harry gleefully lets the town corrupt him, and in the process becomes the killer he feels he needs to be to win and ends up making many new and "interesting" friends... along with preventing Marv's execution.

Just mail him a port key.

I'm thinking Marv could easly be part magical creature (maybe giant?). He's a fucking MONSTER...

Seriously dude, that is one of the worst sounding challenges I have ever read.

 

Whenever I read that, I always feel like sighing. Harry does have a killers instinct. He wouldn't have touched Quirrel when he knew it caused immense pain, and he wouldn't have killed the basilisk. And plus, everybody has a killer's instinct

Then it would make a large AU. And plus, I think I read a summary that said it was a Sin City crossover

And there is a diffrence between defending yourself in desperation and being ready and willing to hunt someone down like an animal and butcher them without mercy.

One is natural human desperation, acting like a cornered animal...

The other is that killers edge Harry lacks.
