This post involves a little idea I had for a HP/CG crossover. If you haven't seen the anime then you won't understand this.

There are two ways I can see this happening. Both, however, involve Harry in Lelouch's role with Luna as his C.C.

Idea One: Simpler. Set in canon but with Luna as the contract giver. With Dumbledore, The Ministry, and Voldemort out for his head and control of the wizarding world Harry creates his own order with Luna gives him. The Power of Absolute Obedience. Not a Super!Harry fic. But a Slytherin!Harry story. Multiple pairings. Maybe have Ginny in Shirley's role? I haven't determined who would fit Kallen's or Milly's... Maybe Daphne as Kallen? The child of a pureblood and muggleborn.

Idea Two: Same premise. Luna as CC. Harry as Lelouch. Ginny as Shirley and Daphne as Kallen. However, the story is set in Alternate universe where the consequences of the fight with Grindelwald exposes the magical community to the rest of the world. A Fight occurs that establishes magic users as the ELITE class of the world. Voldemort goes from a sadistic revolutionary to the handsome leader of the Britannian Empire.

Harry Potter is the son of James and Lily Potter with James as a Britannian Lord who was assassinated, along with his wife, when Harry was young; leaving him with a sister to take care of and a murder to find. The story would begin in Harry's sixth or seventh year at Hogwarts.

Society at this point would have delved deeply into technomancy as a tie-in to the technologically advanced setting in the Code Geass anime. It's your choice whether or not to include Knightmare frames.

    What do you think?

What's the point of having Lelouch's Geass if you have the Imperius Curse?

    Oh snap!

That was the sound of somebody's idea breaking.

Actually if you wanted to do something like this all you have to remember is that C.C. at this point in time was not with Lelouch.

Your only problem is that in HP universe the America's aren't owned by one big super power, nor is Europe for that matter...

If they were the whole story would probably be vastly different.

The down-side is that you can only apply it once, but this can be circumvented with a judicious use of the Geass. Another downside is that as it becomes stronger, it starts taking over the person with the Geass, leading to things like the Euphinator.

Of course, the downsides to using the Imperius are that it can be fought off, and it is highly illegal (just one application earns you a one-way ticket to Azkaban). The ability to use it multiple times, and that it never takes control of you are upsides, though.

So really, it ballances out, I think.

As for the idea itself, I think that one should just introduce C.C. to Harry, rather than turning Luna into Harry's C.C.

You'd just need to come up with a reason for her to be in that world.

Firstly, yes the Imperius can be fought off, however it depends on the strength of will of the Wizard who cast the curse, compared to that who is under it. If they are both about equal, the curse breaks quickly, if not, we get the whole Barty Crouch situation.
As for illegality, if the Geass existed in the Harry Potter Universe it would be made illegal very quickly after it was discovered. People don't like the idea of loosing their will.

As the only sign of Imperius is a slight glassyness of the eyes, and I am not sure if that is even mentioned in Cannon, and the Geass has obvious signs on the user, their is no benefit to using it over the Imperius curse.

Lastly we have the problem that Harry hates the idea of the unforgivables and lose of willpower. Thus what could possible convince him to use his powers.

Idea one has minor potential, if using the Imperius, cause if Rin is right you can only use Geass on a person once, thus making people in his Order rather useless. You make them join, but you can't make them do anything.

As for the second idea, needs some rethinking. If magic ruled, technology would go backwards, not forwards. A good Crossover CANNOT be forced. Yes putting Harry in that world may be awesome, but it still has to make sense. Hell the thousands of crap 'teleport Harry to Azeroth/Middle Earth/Other Fantasy world,' fics are better then this, because at least Harry's existence in this world makes some kind of sense. Your second idea is basically forcing Harry Potter and Code Geass into the same story.

What would work is if the muggles ruled and it was technologically advanced and Voldemort was a rebel, even though that makes Voldemort kind of good, or if it was technologically backward and wizards ruled.

Or lastly, if you really want the Code Geass world with magic, make Voldemort do something stupid and accidently teleport Harry, and maybe Ron and Hermione and himself to that universe. Its not like they haven't been teleported everywhere else by Voldemort's stupidity.

Oh, yeah, I forgot! That's why he used the Cruciatus twice and the Imperius once or twice in canon.
