    Title: Heterochromic
    Author: Webdog177
    Rating: M
    Genre: Romance
    Status: One-shot
    Library Category: Romance
    Pairings: Harry/Astoria, Harry/Daphne
Summary: Astoria Greengrass wants to set up Harry Potter with her sister, Daphne. But her plans don't really go the way she wants them to. Not your usual Harry/Daphne Harry/Astoria fic.
    Link: FanFiction.Net

There are a few errors but the story itself is interesting with good characterization. The sense of turmoil was great. Four stars.

Was already recommended in Almost Recommended.
I recall the consensus being though the idea is pretty good, it takes way too long to set up its conclusion.

I'd rate it a 3.5/5, based on that.

I'd remove that last part, there. No need to tell people about it, just let them read it for themselves if it's such a good addition to the story.

And all say what I said in Almost Recommended. The story did such a good job of pretending to be terrible that it was in fact terrible. Parodying a stupid fanfiction trope doesn't excuse the stupid fanfiction trope when 95 percent of the story is that stupid trope.

So much this; the ending was decent, but I wouldn't have read until the end if it had not been recommended by Taure & others. It's not terribad, but some of the writing (and the characterization of Astoria at points throughout) makes it Recycling Bin/Almost Rec material only.

Yeah, I agree with that. Kind of a Catch-22: I'd have stopped reading about 1,000 words in if people hadn't said there was a brilliant twist, but knowing there was a twist made the actual ending kind of "meh, that was okay, I guess."

I hadn't seen this in the AR thread, and I didn't read the comments before reading because I wanted to look at it with fresh eyes. I figured out the twist pretty much immediately, and the end was telegraphed from the 1/3 mark on.

The writing is practically the epitome of "okay." It's not great, but no glaring problems. In fact, that's a great way to describe the fic as a whole.

I honestly thought that Harry & Astoria getting together was the twist in the end,

i just did not expect her to be his kid from the future. Very surprising for me. 4/5 for me.

Well, I liked this one. Not many Harry/Astoria stories out there. Figured out the twist early on, so 4/5.

Though I did not understand what the author meant by the last line that Astoria did not recognize her daughter. Can someone explain it to me please? Add spoiler tags.

The implication is that what happened to Astoria will happen to her daughter. And her daughter's daughter, and so on, for always.

I'd rate it 3.5/5 as well.

The timetravel twist was easy to spot halfway through the story. And the last line was indicating the endless cycle - or at least Astoria's fear that the same will happen again.

3/5. I don't think the twist is all it's made out to be. I guessed it not too far into the story.

I liked it well enough, even though I guessed what was going on pretty early on; there were enough hints. Around 3/5 is probably fair, but I enjoyed the time while reading it, so I give it a 4.

I thought it was ok, certainly readable but not really exciting as a story.

    4/5 from me.

I like it. I saw the twist coming from the moment the eye colour thing was explained but I still thought it was very well written technically and did something interesting with a few old clichés. Its the kind of fic that I'll probably reread in a few months and not regret it.

Someone please add spoiler tags to that post. It gives away everything for those who haven't got the twist.

I discovered this while browsing FF.Net so didn't have anyone to signpost the twist for me and ruin it. Also I skimmed half of it so missed a number of the heavier hints. Finally I don't ever pay attention to titles.

As a result, I came to the twist with zero anticipation that the fic was anything other than a badly dressed up smut fic. It was lulzy as hell.

But yeah, without that the fic will be pretty dull.
