    Oh Carrie...

She just can't follow plans, can she? This could seriously backfire in her face within the next couple of episodes based on the previews of episode 5.

You seriously can't make a Congressman disappear, especially a national hero, without many people noticing. I bet Brody knows this as well, and will sit and wait it out. Plus, it will just make him more dedicated to the cause, if torture is involved. Bad feelings all around.

But, my God, the hotel scenes were awesome. The face Brody made when she revealed everything. WHAT GREAT ACTING!

Man, this show never ceases to impress me. These actors are incredible. During the interrogation scenes, I was just absolutely riveted. And even though they're both messed up, I want what Carrie wants too! lol

This show infuriates me like no other, but in a good way!

A lot of people have been saying that episode 10 was one of the weaker episodes. This could be true, but I have a feeling there was a lot more happening then what was showed.

My predictions for the rest of the season.
I have a feeling all of this was planned. Abu Nazir and Brody planned on kidnapping Carrie and staging this whole event in order to get Carrie unwillingly on their side by knowing Brody helped kill the Vice President. The reactions Brody had during most of this episode just seemed convoluted in a way.

Abu Nazir had to have known Brody could have been compromised when the memory card was found. This is why the airport security dude tried to take it back. When Carrie showed back up in the CIA, and Brody began to freak out... I think Abu Nazir knew that Brody had been "turned".

I have a feeling there was a lot more than what was shown when Brody was reunited with Nazir. Brody says he was strapped to a car battery for 8 hours and he thought he was going to die... Yet, we did not see this (and Homeland has shown us worse scenes before).

Nazir convinced Brody to help him by his hatred of the Vice President to continue. He sacrificed his own people to keep Brody in the game. Right now, Brody is a contender to become the Vice President, is a Congressman and has Intel with the CIA, he is an extremely important asset.

I just have this feeling something much bigger is going to be happening. Especially if there is going to be a third season.

I did not like the sequence back in the tunnels at all. Why in the world did Carrie not have a gun or any kind of weapon?

There was only one tac team. Why did the team leader let the rest of his squad wander off? You could tell that the leader was dead the moment that happened.

Honestly, there was very little climatic about Nazir's death. I wasn't expecting a major fight scene or anything like 24 used to pull off (many people who worked on 24 work on Homeland). However, this was an extremely underwhelming end to Nazir (if, of course, this really is the end of him).

The rest of the episode, especially the final ten minutes, was much better.

I do wonder how many times I've seen a woman cry in front of a mirror in TV though. Most overused place to have a breakdown, seriously.

Fair episode. But I'm not finding the last few episodes as good as the episodes at the same point in the first season.

    Holy. Shit.

I did not expect this AT ALL.

This is probably one of the greatest season finals I have ever seen. Everything seemed like it was going to end perfect, though you knew something was coming. This was beyond anything I would have even thought of.

Saul is incredible! His message on the phone and the ending scene... Beautiful.

I can't wait for the next season!

If you have not seen Homeland yet... Go watch it now.

The season ending was good. I wonder how long they can stretch this series given the way they are going. It's not what I expected at all.
I'm expecting Quinn to go hunting for Brody in the next season. He must be really beating himself up thinking of how badly he (thinks he) screwed up.

A very emotional and quiet season finale for the majority of it. As Lindsay said, you knew something was coming.

My only complaint is that it seemed like too much of it was about the love story between Carrie and Brody. As long as this was a standalone episode in that vein, I can live with that and feel much happier about this episode. But I didn't watch Homeland for a love story. I started watching for the cat and mouse between Carrie and Brody.

Either way, the opening next season will be crucial. I never pictured this series lasting more than a third series. Now that Nazir is dead, and my belief that Brody being framed cannot possibly last more than a season, I wonder if this next one will be the last. But the show has surprised before. I guess we'll know in another years time.

Overall, I didn't think the second series was quite as good as the first. Where the first was constantly surprising, shocking and innovative, the second kinda felt like a more generic spies vs terrorists show. Still extremely good, just not as special. There were some episodes about halfway through where I was thinking I might not bother watching past the series finale.

Then came the last couple of episodes, and I'm in love once more. So much good stuff it's hard to comprehend. Can't wait for the next series - although equally, I can't see how they're going to stretch it out past that without it getting stale. Not with the same cast, anyway. The basic premise of the show could probably stand a shift in focus to another story with different characters, which could be interesting.

    So third season...

I have been slightly disappointed with the it so far. The plot is just not very compelling. Saul's plotline is, by far, the most entertaining. It doesn't really compare with this show's past tension and mystery, but it was still interesting seeing him trying to rebuild the prestige of the CIA.

    with the assassinations.

Carrie's plot line is barely interesting, but I always disliked her being bi-polar. It felt like an unnecessary burden put on her for the sake of creating pity. I would have liked her character a lot more if she had been mentally stable. Dana's story is just plain boring. If I didn't have a strong aversion to skipping things in shows or books, I would probably skip her scenes.

I just hope that this second episode was a fluke and they focus on Saul, and hopefully, Brody being tracked down.

Strange we have yet to see him. I am wondering what they'll do with his character. And with Carrie being locked up, I'm wondering how figuring out who was really behind the '12/12 attack' is gonna play out.

As Shinysavage says above me, last season was nowhere near as awesome as the first, but it was redeemed as it went on. I hope this season is similar. Unfortunately, it doesn't look too promising so far, but hopefully that will change.

I believe I read the third episode is mostly about where and what Brody is doing, definitely looking forward to that. Easily my favorite show in a long time.

Watched the second episode tonight, and I thought it was great. It's slightly disappointing that we've not seen Brody yet, but having him off screen for a while is allowing them to do some sterling work with the secondary characters - Dana's explanation to her mother was the first time I've really cared about either of them in the entire show, and although Carrie's bipolar antics can be a little painful to watch for various reasons, the changing relationship between her and Saul is brilliant.

All that stuff in the earlier episodes which made me wonder how the show could have become so boring, I take it back. An excellent episode.

Just saw the latest episode. I liked it, but I lost all respect for Carrie's character. Saul and Brody are the only people I care about in this show now.

Carrie is definitely going to lose the baby somehow, I just wonder how it will be. Random miscarriage or a direct result of her actions? I'm thinking the latter.
