KenderCleric's Epic Challenge #1: The Heroes of the Second War

WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR DEATHLY HOLLOWS
    Intro:
This challenge isn't just for one story, but rather a series of stand alone fan fictions. Collectively they would be known as the "Heroes Chronicles".

    Summary:

The end of Voldemort's second reign of terror had come. Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger were hailed as heroes. Yet, they were not the only ones who had struggled to see the world free of Voldemort. Others had, in their own ways, proven to be every bit the heroes the Golden Trio were.

Among the most notable names of the war were Neville Longbottom, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Fred and George Weasley, Lee Jordan and "Potterwatch", Arthur Weasley and the Ministry Insiders, and the members of the Order of the Phoenix who acted as an underground resistance offering aid where they could.

These were the Heroes of the Second War, and these are their stories.

    The Challenge:

Write a series of chaptered stories detailing the actions of the Heroes of the Second War. Each story should be a fully detailed account of that character or group of character's actions from the end of book 6 to the end of book 7. The following are the "volumes" of the "Hero Chronicles":
    • Vol. 1) Neville Longbottom - Hero of Dumbledore's Army
    • Vol. 2) Kingsley Shacklebolt - Hero of the Renegade Aurors
    • Vol. 3) The Twins Weasley - Heroes of the Spirit of Mischief
    • Vol. 4) Lee Jordan and PotterWatch - Heroes of the Airwaves
    • Vol. 5) Arthur Weasley and the Ministry Insiders - Heroes of the Ministry Resistance
    • Vol. 6) The Order Underground - Heroes of Mercy; Saviors of the Undesirables
    The Example:

To provide an example for the layout of one of the stories here's a short outline for Neville's story.
    • Prologue: His Father's Son
      • Detailing Neville's summer after the Department of Mysteries.
      • View of Neville's 6th year and his involvement in the battle against the infiltrating Death Eaters.
      • Detailing Neville's summer after 6th year and the Rise of Voldemort.
    • Chapter 1: The New Regime
      • Detailing the ride on the express without Ron, Hermione, Draco and Harry. Rumors of the events of the summer, and the Death Eater's children's actions.
      • The Welcoming Feast: the new Headmaster, the Carrows, announcements of class changes etc.
      • The first week of Hogwarts under the new regime's control.
    • Chapter 2: The Resistance Begins
      • Detailing the first round of detentions and the reactions of the students.
      • Detailing the views of students about the changes to the school.
      • The first signs of resistance to the new regime and the changes at the school.
    • Chapter 3: The Holidays
    • Chapter 4: Crime and Punishment
      • Detailing the students being taken hostage.
      • Detailing the attempts by the students to "fight back".
    • Chapter 5: Sanctuary
      • Detailing the events leading up to Neville's "rediscovery" of the Room of Requirement.
      • Neville's meeting Aberforth Dumbledore.
      • The use of the RoR for the newly revitalized Dumbledore's Army.
    • Chapter 6: The Battle of Hogwarts
      • Starting with Neville discovering Harry's return detailing out the events leading up to the battle.
      • Neville's participation in the battle.
      • Neville's actions after Harry leaves the school and through the end of book 7.
    • Epilogue: Nineteen Years Later
      • A brief glimpse at Neville's life on September 1st nineteen years later.
    The Rules:
    • Each Volume must end with the Epilogue "Nineteen Years Later".
    • Any event the character is mentioned as having participated in during book 7 must be included.
    • Include "tie-in" events such as the PotterWatch broadcast that Harry/Hermione/Ron listened to. These help keep the feel of simultaneous timelines.
    • Be creative, but don't go overboard.
    • Create "tie-in" events between each volume of the chronicles. A prime example would be the Weasley twin's appearance on PotterWatch.
    • For volumes detailing multiple characters actions, such as The Order Underground, make sure to give the reader a feel for how they were all interacting to make their combined efforts heroic.
This is an Epic Challenge and "is not for the faint of heart". If done right this series of relatively short (50kish perhaps, maybe 100k words) could be a masterpiece of fanfiction to accompany the canon works. However, if done wrong this could end up being a total load of crap that instills bloodlust in readers and puts your life at risk.

Be careful, but have fun!
