Not sure if this is the best place to put this, but I don't know where else I would.

As the name of the thread suggests, I'm looking for a writing partner. What is involved in being a writing partner?

Betaing (including heavy editing, if necessary)
Poking each other daily to get off our lazy asses and write (outside motivation, in other words)
Collaborative writing, if one is so inclined (I've got a couple of ideas I'd feel a lot better about writing as a team)

Requirements? Well, if you're only interested in the first two, then having written something legible by DLP standards is about it (fanfiction, of course). For the collaborative writing, being willing to put in 1-2k words a week is enough, I think. I'm writing a future contest entry, so it'll be something I go to when I'm bored/burnt out on that particular idea, but given my muse's current insane output I should manage both just fine.

Uh, yeah. I think that's about it.

I'd be up for that. I've got nine weeks of fuck all looking me in the face right now, might as well.

I've got about nine weeks with a light schedule too, oddly enough.

    What's your current project?

Alright, that's fine. Do you have a preferred method of quick communication? I like gtalk and facebook, but I can work with other things. PM me.

I'm up for one too if you have any experience or are just better at writing Dresden than me.

Never written Dresden before, but I'm familiar with the fandom. What exactly are you looking for? Betaing or collaboration?

Sorry to bump this thread, but I'd actually really be interested in collaborating with someone, if anyone's up for it. More than willing to work someone else's bunny or the couple I've got floating around in my head. If anyone's interested, hit me up with a PM or something.

@enembee: Whatever happened to your collaborative story with Oz?

Creative differences. nmb didn't like where I was bringing Grindelwald and Dumbledore's relationship.

Grindlewald might not. But who's to say what Grindelwald does? :p

I'd be interested, my internship ends in a week and I have a ton of free time after that.

Collaboration or beta, whichever you're more inclined to do. I just need someone to take what I have and either flesh it out more (as in make it more detailed) or take the Dresden view and hash out scenes via IRC. At this point I'm willing to take anyone's help on it as it seems to be sitting in my brain smoldering away but I keep getting stuck when I write the Dresden POV. You can see it plainly in my writing, Potter sounds good if somewhat OoC (which I'll explain where I'm going with it if you decide to help me) but Dresden is too emotionless as one person put it, "I haven't captured that spark that Butcher puts into Dresden."

I've managed to end up with like four various projects >.>

I think you might have better luck if you posted your own thread, though I thought perhaps DLP could have a sticky for looking for betas/writing partners.

I'll make a thread for my own then. Thank you though.
