I saw a much, much greater chance of H/L happening after OOtP than I did with H/G. The scene after Harry talks with Nick cinches it. Luna was someone who, while completely mad, was also able to see past the Boy-Who-Lived, moreso than any other character.

The movies have been directed by, and written by different people. Some of them no doubt figured it was going to be H/Hr, and went with that. Or it could be the simple fact that Daniel and Emma have better chemistry together than she does with Rupert.

Then again, she'd have better chemistry with a rock than with Rupert. Talk about life imitating art...

The only character Rowling didn't have to write additional scenes for was Hermione. With Ginny, he goes from barely seeing her to wanting to fuck her brains out. There's no set up, he just decides one day that Ginslut's actually super hot and that putting his dick into her mouth would be a really good idea.

Ugh. The number of H/Hr fics I've read... either Ron decides that he's going to kill Harry, or gives him a high five. What's wrong with a little middle ground?

Effectively, the story basically revolves around the Weasleys. Other people have said it - so will I. I don't give a shit about them.

Instead of retiring to the Bahamas along with several million pounds and a hot girlfriend, he decides to marry into the redneck redheads and name his children the worst things he can think of. And fuck his deformed ginger wife each and every night.

P.S. - There are actually good H/L fics out there? Anyone got a link?

 

I wish that happened, but really Harry and Luna are meant to be platonic. Just make sure that in your mind that Harry married Luna in the ending and not Ginny, and you'll be happy! :banana:

 

Yes, say that Molly's killing of Bellatrix was after Bella offed Ginny. That wraps up the thoroughly unpleasant H/G 'ship, and nicely explains why a housewife can kill a well-trained psychopathic dark witch. You know, woman scorned with fury hell hath none?

Which would neatly open the way for H/L, rather than being drawn into Scheming Redhead Hell...



Of course, if you wanted to improve DH that much, you may as well go all the way and rewrite Years 6 and 7...

 

I would gladly re-write book 6 and 7 for the money JK makes off of them ..

And clearly write something OTHER than H/G
