No, I'm with you, mostly, Jan. There's just a lot of people who... Aren't, for totally valid reasons like the ones I posted. I'm pretty sure there have been actual not in game fights over whether or not interactions matter as much as people tend to give weight to them in the last 6 months.

This game could go either way on that rn, imo.

 

wow I spent way too much time on that game. I feel it was probably worth it, though. Just the metainfo on Fluff alone was helpful, let alone the added bonuses of Jan and Miner

I guess now's as good a time as any to share my thoughts on Miner from earlier:

Miner has been here on and off, but hasn't really defended himself beyond declaring himself clear and citing Jari/font's reads on him. My biggest issue with him was his #925. He does hit some town markers, and I like that he says IF Jan confTown, he thinks team is me/GH. I only slightly prodded GH today, and he hasn't updated his "top town" read of me since yesterday, so I can see how he could get that impression as town. Reading him by tone, he's been alright, but his play has been really weird. He said he's trying something new, but hasn't changed anything noticeable moving into D2, and seems a little out for blood on Beru, (despite Beru getting notably better this phase) and Fable. When pushed to provide, his explanation for D1 (linked above) makes little sense coming from a townsided perspective. I don't see both him and Fluff being scum, however, so I'm willing to give him time to resolve himself (something Fluff will likely never do).

 

Oh yeah - the big difference is that town was pushing on each other hard that game.

I was basically sitting back watching the show and slinging some dirt while fonti and typhon tried to kill each other.
In part because I was a scum!goon with 2 prs and if one of us gets checked it should be me.

Oh and I read my partners town that game ebcause all fo them played towny enough to deserve a townread.
If you compare it to other games *cough* american gods *cough* I can bus pretty well if I feel a partner is getting pressured.

 

Gonna do a bit of re-re-re-reading of their ISOs and try to figure out where to vote tonight. Will probably put some sort of updated list before I pass out, too, but no promises 'cause it's already past 3am.

Speaking of which, I gotta hit the road at 10am, so I'll likely only get about 5-6 hours of sleep tonight, but I should be back home in time for EoD (hopefully by 1:30, maybe 2PM latest)

You're looking at them backwards. I wrote the Miner read earlier in response to Beru saying nobody was defending themselves. It's part of the same post as #1043, but I removed it because I wanted feedback on Fluff first and felt putting both would dilute that.

I still don't know if Fluff will resolve himself considering his lack of posts and lack of explanations/clear thoughts. Reading a scumgame where he was better and more understandable helps put this game in perspective, though, so that helps with his slot.

Thinking of moving to Miner now, but that requires me to say goodbye to "the added benefit" I mentioned earlier about flipping Fluff.

@Rubicon I'd like your thoughts, please. You haven't really shared your reads in depth this phase, and that needs to change. I'd specifically like you to talk about your read of Fluff, elaborating on your vote on Miner, and sharing your thoughts on GH. On GH, you said said #1110 was surprising coming from him, what about it was surprising?

 

My only scumgame here outside of the filler games was Tinyhunt 6. I buried myself with a "terrorist" (think that's what Jan called it at least, lmao) rainbow wall that I spent like 5 hours on and was lynched D1. Iirc my only others in recent history are the two Fable's mentioned - the MU Anniversary mash + the perc game where the mod gave multiple townies a sort-of-wincon to keep me alive to endgame.

Rereading has shrunk my towncircle to Beru/Jan/Delphine. I don't think I'll ever touch this pile unless we're somehow in F5 or F3 together and all options must be considered.

I think Rubi/GH/Fable each are towny in their own way, but I think I'm probably wrong on exactly one of these.

I like Rubi's pushes and his posts seem to convey a serious scumhunting mindset, but I don't like that his activity has dropped this phase, and that he hasn't shared his reads until now, shortly before EoD.

I like GH's approach and have found myself agreeing with his posts, or already have thought the same thought beforehand. His progression on Rubicon/Fluff has been good, and I can generally see how he's solving the game. I don't like that his pushes/reads can be obvious at times, like telling Beru "I want to see if you actually have it" about her wall on Fonti, and his timing on the Miner wall (#1110) seemed off. Primary wagons are Fluff/Miner, he had voted Fluff, and then wrote that wall after Fable, Delphine, and Beru had each commented on it.

Fable is difficult because he's apparently a solid wolf. If I knew nothing about him, I might have put him in my towncircle for his pure tone, flow and presence, and reasoning. He hasn't actually given a reason so far that I had difficulty believing, and his pushes seem proactive, rather than opportunistic. For instance, when I was pushing on Beru at the start of this phase, he immediately asked me how my scumread fit in with two posts I had made earlier where I outlined things I liked Beru for. I've been starting to put him above Rubi and GH in my mind, but I'm not confident about him just yet (especially since he keeps reminding everyone not to be complacent about him because that's how he wins as wolf --stop wifoming dude, please).

I think the remaining wolf is in Fluff/Miner, and I've already outlined my thoughts on each of them.
aorn, I think Fluff solves slightly more (will elaborate if I make it through the nightphase) in flipping than Miner does, but I think lynching Miner is more likely to hit scum.

gonna wrap up here and go to bed soon. gotta be up in a little less than 5hrs. GL with hours leading up to EoD, hope my towns start turning up the heat

If they are scum then that is basically the only way to have a fighting chance in this constellation and Miner got a lot of heat before GH made the case (which was in good parts inspired by others).

 

Jari's (and to a lesser extent fonti's) reads on miner are tearing me up, because both of them did focus on him a decent amount. But I also feel really weird about 925/his explanations of his early D1 play+stuff toward fonti, and for all I know they're screaming in deadchat that they fucked up for that same post.

I'm /less/ sure Fluff/GH isn't a thing. I think it's unlikely mostly due to stuff on GH's end, but I think it's advantageous to that pair to distance and that Fluff seemed to enjoy it in Stardew.
