Nice update just now. The Akatsuki finally enter the story and it seems to be gearing up towards a major war. One issue I had with it though was how he didn't show us much of the fight scene but that's only a minor complaint. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Despite dozens of grammatical errors throughout this and "Altered History", this is the best Naruto fanfic I've read. With chapter 13 just now, it's going to be exceedingly difficult to take the title in my opinion.

Latest chapter (13) has a pretty big twist at the end. Made me go "Wut?"

Personally, I'm looking forwards to see how Ino will deal with Unity's special pleasure-seal thingy.

Certainly, the story is heading down a darker path.

If Ino does become an undercover agent against Unity, and they use that thing on her, well, it could have some interesting effects on the Naruto/Ino relationship, though somehow these stories never turn out as dark as I imagine. Ino will likely get away before she can become their puppet, I mean, she couldn't really hurt Naruto considering his super regenative abilities, and Ino's just barely a jounin. Though maybe, with her family jutsu, she could cause some damage...

"Who is the other girl?" Neji asked a cool tone to his voice, reminding Tenten of just how protective he could be for those he cared for.
"Who said it was a girl’s name?" Tenten asked archly, then seeing his surprise, nodded confirming what he thought without a word. Another scandal in the making, Choji and Shikamaru, the heirs of two minor noble clans within Konoha. It wasn't the relationship itself, but the alliance it would make, one that the Konoha Charter strictly controlled.

 

No sirs, I'm afraid I clearly don't remember that scene. I'm loading up the latest chapter now... nope, not there, sorry.

Nice update. To me it seemed to be mostly filler, but it did resolve some of the issues left hanging it the previous installment, such as Tenten's reaction and the workings of the seal. Hoping for some action soon though.

 

I like this fic, I really do but Hitokiri Ino always just irks the hell out of me, the writings great, the plots great and the fight scenes are epic but it just for some reason seems to me like he's trying for some kind of super duo thing like making her a less crazy version of Naruto.
