those are interesting, and I like both the Bull and snake. And I checked and you're right, Harry never really is a snake. Too close to Voldemort apparently. THis is what makes me reluctant to do it too I guess.

You're right midknight it would be interesting, its just I can't imagine a truly powerful wizard not doing it. Snape mahy not have because it does take years, but Voldemort went and studied for 20 or so years it said after working at BUrgin and BOrkes. Plus, if the Marauders could do it in their spare time (secretly mind you, because they are full-time students) then they Harry should be able to also if he just put his time into it. And just look at how useful it was for Black, who escaped Azkaban with it, avoid werewolves, and retard dementors; and Pettigrew who was able to hide for 12 years using it, and escape, and also be unattacked by werewolves and dementors. Plus there is the potential for spying like Rita Skeeter.


If I do it, Harry will learn the animagus transformation from her, I mean McGonagall answers directly to Dumbledore. ANd Skeeter is also an animagus and could teach it I imagine. In addition, no one has used her yet for this purpose.

I just love HP 6. It was fun to read, no boring parts, a lot informations, AND H/G *gg*. I just love this pairing.

The big question in my main hp-forum is abotu Snape. Is he bad or not? There are two different parties there: SIB and SINB. SINB (Snape is not bad) can argue, wow.

I think it's interesting what people read into the book. How in Merlin's name, can they think of some theories??? *argh*

He learns to become an animagus under the summer. When he is at the Durlsey’s he saw one or more of the alien movies. What if his animagus form was an alien. (I don’t think the animal you transform into must exist. You just have to believe you can do it.) They are lethal, intelligent and good hunters. I think that would be really cool.

 

So it is settled, When I do write this FIC ( IN SEPTEMBER) it will probably after the Goblet of Fire and Harry will ask Hermione on the train to have time to talk to Rita.

Harry will learn from Rita in exchange for exclusive interview rights as long as she is honest. He will become more independent and questioning under he influence (remember she dislikes DUMBledore)

Romance will blossom between the two. SHe will get him the things he needs to aquire knowledge and he will become more independent and be a snake animagus.

 

what about bella and narcissa?

 

I don't mind Bellatrix being a good girl, but I like seeing her as a crazy bitch. Narcissa I think is much more about survival, and she may play a larger role. I'm not sure yet. I'll have to see.

Having finally gotten around to actually reading my sister's copy of the sixth book, I'll post my thoughts as drectly copied and pasted from an e-mail correspondence with a fellow Harry/Cho writer that I sent this morning...


"At this point, I've honestly come to the conclusion that I no longer care about the canon. Fanfics satisfy me so much more than this pile of tripe that Rowling put out. First, the romance. It was badly written and disgustingly cliched everywhere. I've despised Ginny Weasley ever since the little bint stuck her elbow in the butter dish in Chamber of Secrets, and it's gotten progressively worse over the last two books. You'll notice that she has virtually no role in Prince of Darkness. While I wasn't going to disparage her character by having her be against Harry, I'm certainly not going to include her any more than necessary. Really I don't much like the Weasleys on the whole period aside from Bill, but Ginny is by far the worst. So naturally, I retched at the concept of Ginny becoming "the new Cho Chang," that being the popular girl, Quidditch ace, most desired female at Hogwarts, and the one Harry pines over like a lovesick puppy. Speaking of Cho, I was supremely disappointed by her fade into total obscurity. I held out hope, but never actually believed that she and Harry would get back together, but they still could have had a reconciliation. A simple "no hard feelings" would not have been too much to ask. Instead, she ducks into her compartment to avoid him on the train and is not seen again for the entire book.

The Ron/Lavender crap was just horrid, and Hermione went totally out of character in pursuing Weasel King. She's supposed to be logical and intelligent, not your typical jealous teenage girl. The only pairing that ever had a chance that I might have found tolerable would have been Harry/Luna. They work together much better than Harry and Ginny. The only way that I would have been satisfied with pairings would have been for Harry and Cho to hook up again, but that was never going to happen.

I actually liked Harry being Dumbledore's man, and had no problem with the general lack of crying over Sirius. I mean honestly, he'd spoken to the man what, four or five times in all of canon? Harry needed to grow up and quickly, so it doesn't bother me that he wasn't pissy and angsty all through the book. Though it is a bit odd that he grieved more for Cedric Diggory than for his own godfather. CAPSLOCK!HARRY annoyed the piss out of me, so I was glad not to see him too much here.

Dumbledore's death was undignified and crappy, and was probably what I hated most about the book. He's the only wizard that Voldemort ever feared and the leader of the Light, and so of course, he gets led into an ambush set by fucking DRACO MALFOY and killed by that nobody Snape. Absolute and total bullshit, and it came across as Rowling trying to appease all of the Draco (read: Tom Felton) fangirls by giving him some credibility where he had none whatsoever in all of the previous five books combined. Malfoy sucks, and he gets neither respect nor sympathy from me. It reminds me of a fanfic that was finished a while ago, where Draco impersonated Harry with Polyjuice and proceeded to seduce and rape Cho, and then the author expected us to feel sorry for him and forgive him because he showed some remorse over it. Not a fucking chance in Hell. Combined with Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione, the entire BOOK seemed like JKR shamelessly trying to pander to the mainstream fandom. Snape pissed me off also, but I'll reserve judgement on him until I see what his role is in the final installment.

Another thing that annoyed me was Slughorn. He was a totally irritating character that the book would have been better off without. All of his "parties" fell into the same pile as Quidditch matches and Potions lessons, that being complete filler for when Rowling has nothing better to write about. My final verdict is that the story would have made a good fanfic, but was wholly unacceptable coming from the woman herself."

 

I agree with you on a lot of shit except that I liked Slughorn, and I despised "the Dumbldore's man" thing. I didn't like that this man who was supposed to be so insightful and shrewd could be made to spill his guts by just getting him drunk enough. THAT'S the exact moment she turned the character into a joke.

and how could you NOT be pissed that Harry was like, "Yes, I am Dumbledore's bitch. And I like it!" I mean, the guy NEVER stops lying to him. From that shit with, "I have no idea what a Horcrux is Harry. Only you can find out from Slughorn. Now I am going to twinkle my eyes and act like I actually give a fuck about you." to "No, I will not tell you that Severus Snape was the one who delivered your family to Voldemort and told him the Prophecy."

At the end of book 5 he says "I will train you in Occlumency myself." But then he doesn't; he acts like he's going to give Harry skills, but all he does is show Harry useless memories.

Voldemort worked at Borgin and Burkes?!?! SWEET MERLIN!! It's all come together now!!! AND his grandfather, who he never knew, was an asshole?! WOW! WHat a revelation!!


The "Dumbledore's man" line is the most bullshit thing I have ever read. Ever. And the fact that it came from a series that I really loved at one time fucking hurts and pisses me off.

I felt the third time rereading it to make all the gripes took from me a large portion of brain cells I may never get back and closed my html version, rofl.

There was actually 1 chapter I liked a lot. THe one where Snape makes the Unbreakable Vow. I thought that was very good. OTher than that you're absolutely right.

 

ive got to agree... they completely trashed cissa! .. ginny was just.. "blah! DIE you evil whore! .." since the butter dish... Slughorn.. i liked and didnt like.. i mean the guy is supposed to rub elbows with the big ones... but a sixteen year old can get him pissed .. and while pissed.. well... there are women in knockturn alley with tighter lips if you catch my drift... yeah.. right.. and im voldemort in drag >_> ..

oh.. and something that ive wondered for a while... am I the only one that finds it amusing that the non-magical people of the world are named after a drug slang? mayhaps this is why your books are gettign worse and worse madam Rowling... drugs are bad, mmmkay?
