I got curious who would take second place between Entry 2 and 3.

Putting some numbers into a spreadsheet, we get:
Entry 1: 24 points
Entry 2: 13 points
Entry 3: 11 points.

(Had Jeram give everyone a zero since he scored every equally).

Now, this isn't official and there may be some adjustments they do when looking at whether certain reviews qualify, but it's pretty clear Entry 1 won (ranked highest among all votes). 2 and 3 might switch places in the final result as they score pretty closely.

 

Well, I mean. I think Ched's busy and the other mods are busy too. So ya'll just gonna have to wait. Final tally is pretty evident. So congrats to those involved.

How about we try and get more than 4 people to contribute something. I give two fucks about position and runners up. Excuse my candidness here. The whole point of this is to grow as a community and not squabble over basic ass semantics that mean nothing in the end. Its a competition on who is the best writer based on an agreed upon criteria. Not who is the runner up.

Not everyone gets a trophy. But if you want one. I'll make you one.

I haven't contributed anything the past two rounds because the prompts were not inspiring. But if it means hammering out a couple thousand words then fuck it, I'll do it. Everyone. And I mean everyone should be getting into this. We have a fuck ton of authors on site that shouldn't just be fucking cruising through here and not doing something. I'm all about supporting people, even you Zenzao. But we've gotta worry less about our own personal troubles and just do it for the fun of it. You sound like you're not having any kind of fun at all.

You came in second. You had an 11 point difference from entry 1. And you only delivered 886 words. Whereas entry 1 had a clearly thought out story line, was 7226 words and showed some effort. Lets bitch about consistency when you sound less like a pillar of NaCl.

Also, I think its ironic that out of all the entries in this past comp. Entry 1 had 7k words roughly, while the others barely broke 800. I know we're trying to be more inviting here, but its hard to get voters engaged in voting if you have nothing to base your vote off of. I think when I submitted mine, and came in third, in Q1, I had nearly 6.8k words.
