    Didn't think I would make it. Tried to be fair. Kind of regret voting so soon, but it is what it is.

    Pretty sure my entry won't win this, but I'm still glad I submitted. Hope that everyone else who wrote for this one finds the time to invest in the next competition too!

    I'll do a larger write-up soon - it's New Years Eve and I'm busy and shit.

    I am leaning towards not making #1 a 'runner-up' officially since my rough criteria requires that the runner-up be closer to the winner than it is to third place. (So if the winner got 6 votes, second place got 5, and third place got 3 - then we'd have a runner-up. If the winner got 6 votes, second got 4, and third got 3 - then no runner-up).

    Next comp will be back to standard rules and I'll have it up by the 2nd, hopefully.

    AUTHORS - feel free to go post in your story threads now to respond to critique, etc.

    EVERYONE - if you liked the shorter comp length let me know in the GENERAL Competition thread. Given the turn out I'm leaning towards doing it again Q2.

    I'm about to start a new competition thread, update the winners thread, and move this thread to the sub-forum.

    As of now you all have until the next poll finishes to post in the story threads before I lock them. In the past authors have sometimes wanted to respond and whatnot, though no pressure!

    Thanks again to everyone who participated in any of our yearly competitions. I am loving these things.
