Warlocke damn bro, calm down a bit aight? But yes, your points you've raised are more then valid, and most likely many good starting points for most stories with a suitable amount of flaming of HBP, because seriously, it was a pile of shit that should never have been released.

Though I think a good story would be in third year when Harry nicks miones Time Turner and actualy captures Peter, finds out about Ligilmency or some shit like that and mindrapes the fucker for all his knowledge of the dark curses and uses them to get books and shit, again by useing Peters Memories and shit so he can train, goes through a totaly different GoF and actualy prepares himself for when he finaly does get abducted and thrown into the rebirth ritual, does the duel and whoops Voldies butt after training for like five years or something and training during the duration of fourth year and then comes back, finds out that he actualy killed some other dude, goes to azkaban or gets nicked by the department of mysteries and again trains some more, assassnates fudge and Umbridge, kills off a few morons and then leaves forgood after he finds out that the department wanted to killhim off when he takes out voldie, comes back after a long time away to find that the world is fucked and then just totaly fucks up Voldemort and shit.

Becomes a figure head and shit, rescues the world, then takes it for himself after taking out all the people that could of or anyone that had a chance to hurt his chances. He becomes ultimate dicator or something and then just dies by an enraged father after impregnating like triplets.

It'd be interesting i must admit to read something like that, and if ever anyone ever writes something like that or finds something similar, please tell me and I would gladly read it.

 

Although most of the time during OotP I was really pleased by the way things turned out, certain parts were like reading fanfic from ages past. The sixth book was worse, especially since Harry did regress in character (severely, I was hoping for a more obstinate, or at least darker Harry, but nooooooo) along with half the cast of HP. >.<

HBP was like reading five different fanfics put together, and made me feel slightly ill afterwords. I kept wondering what Rowling was doing when she wrote this; reading fanfic, perchance?

*cough* Anyhoo, HBP did stunt the great amount of plot bunnies running through my head after OotP. I was kind of sad to see a lot of neat turns and twists disappear due to certain people (argh..DRACO! *kills* ).

Also--completely off topic, but I needed to say this: Rowling CAN'T DO romance. Seriously. She can't. We've seen her try. It hasn't looked all too well, has it?
