Tried to read the story, I really did, but couldn't get past the fifth chapter. It is somewhat well written and definitely not the worst fic out there but thats about it.

The only Fem!Harry stories I can handle is if she somehow hooks up with the real Harry or he makes an appearance at least, otherwise it pretty much becomes an OC-centric fic, which is just retarded.

And as ForsakenOne said, Fem!Harry paired with any other male character is pretty much slash.

2/5 for somewhat decent writing style.

 

Grammar is okay, but the content is complete and utter fail.

My reasons why.
1. This is supposed to be a fucking Harry Potter fic. You can't have one without Harry Potter in it. -2 points off maximum for blowing the simplest fucking part of writing a Harry Potter Fic.

2. The fucking stupid "go nowhere" dialog. Specifically.

Jesus christ... what a fucking waste of reading time while the author diddles arround trying to make the James and Lily marriage look oh so saccharine sweet. And this same sort of actionless and meaningless drivel just continues on.

3. The author seems intent to have all the characters act like bipolar sufferers off their meds.
Lily in the first chapter goes from the cutesy crap to sobbing to "heart beating wildly in panic, to laughing in elation. All in the space of 3 paragraphs and roughly 30 seconds. Cripes... talk about unrealistic Drama whoring.

4. The fic is just stupid. I mean the whole plot.. fuck... the main character isn't even the girl who lived for criminies sake. As such... she's not even in possession of a compelling reason why we should care about this self centered, vapid, vomit inducing character.

If I could I'd give this a zero...

I can see why this sort of character detail found it's way into this fic... it's a piece of absurdist irony... Because, this fic is about as meaty and satisfying as fried lettuce.

Again... complete and utter fail... even good grammar couldn't save this fic.

 

Yeah, know why? Her name is Jamie, and she belongs to a certain HJP.

Eh, it is alright. It's not terrible by any standards, but it won't win any love here. Most of our members are happily content reading about the struggles of Harry Potter. Changing him to Rose really changes the character in a fundamental way, and undercuts the ability of most of the site to identify with him.

Yeah, it sounds sort of unfair, but I've always found that while girls are able to enjoy male and female main characters, guys almost exclusively prefer male main characters - myself included. It's just that most main characters that are female end up bringing into the story feminine aspects that annoy males. Male main characters are (and you might think opposite) more gender neutral on their effect to the story.

Finally, don't let the "OMFG EPIC FAIL" posts get you down. You learned, move on. Now at least you won't make the same mistake again, right?

Mess up twice, and you're a sincere troll.

One of the major attractions of this site is that the board users don't have to worry about stories such as these being inflicted on them.

Seriously its called HARRY POTTER.

 

Egad to Saccharine Sweetness. No offense but that fic was POINTLESS!! I got tired after the 2nd chapter and skipped chapters to see if it got better. It mentioned a Harry but it turned out to be her 6 year old brother. But I just couldn't handle the sweetness anymore!!!

You know it would have been so much better if Harry Potter from another universe somehow ended up in Rose's body...
