Some housekeeping matters: As I implied in the first PM you received, you cannot print-screen or quote any part of the PMs I send you in this game. In extension, you cannot directly post in this thread the parts from your QT which were written by me. I didn't really specify PMs in that first PM, but I'm saying it now. What this means is that Probes cannot quote what I wrote to them (although they can and should paraphrase), Emperor's Hands cannot quote how I describe their Force Visions, etc. etc.

This is a rule set-up since Merrill's first game, and it's a rule which makes some sense to me, considering some of the mess-ups in previous games which related to QT issues.

Also, Krogan has incurred his first warning for failing to meet the posting quota.

    Night 3 has concluded.

Good news, as the sun rises...

Last night, hooded figure with a DD-6 blaster pistol broke into the quarters of Sesc, with the intention to kill. However, Sesc somehow managed to escape the wrath of the would-be assassin... Thank the Force for that.

    Day 4 has started.

Posting is now permitted in this thread until 10:00PM EST (Australia) on May 7, 2012.

Only the following (13) individuals have permission to post in this thread:

Ash, Aziraphale, Bill Door, CheddarTrek, Custer, Eidolonic, Jeram, Krogan, LochNess, Merrill II (Original Creator), Schrodinger, Sesc, Vira, and Zeitgeist (Host).

Graveyard: Riley Poole (Jedi Knight), Gambit (Rebel), Aekiel (Rebel), Kalas (Imperialist)

What's up doc? Nice work. Townfirms someone that was already obviously town, but oh well. At least we didn't lose anyone.

Our lynch target today should be pretty obvious.

    Vote Player: BillDoor.

    Yes, yes :3

I know the truth hurts, but that's no reason to become violent, children. A blaster pistol, really now. Let's try this again, no?

    @Schrodinger

Well. It's like this... you've posted almost no content, and what you have posted has either been pushing us to lynch someone that was town in retrospect, or incredibly defensive for minor suspicion. Lets actually take a look at what you've posted, shall we?

    Day One

First post of any substance was a vote for Ash, because she 'tends to be dangerous', rather than based off of anything actually done in the game at that point. Not really a big deal, just something I noted.

Neither ended up being the answer here! No problems with being wrong with initial gut reads, god knows I was off base for a while. But still worth noting you were painting people that ended up being town with suspicion.

    Day Two

I had no problem with this post at the time. Voting for people being scummy is a good thing. Yay, reasons.

Directed at me on Day Two, when I was open to other lynch cases and targets, and made a post regarding that fact. Doesn't look great in retrospect.

In regards to Ollie trying to push the lynch onto me. I mean... it was a scummy thing for Ollie to do, but this is all with the retrospective knowledge that Ollie flipped town.

Oh. This post. Yeah, this post I don't like. This was in the midst of people switching over to Nae'blis, and you pull this.

    Day Three

Overreaction to someone having you at the very bottom of a list of 6 scummy targets. Considering your previous posts, well. Yeah. It was perfectly understandable for people to find you a little scummy.

To Kalas. It's just kind of... an awful post, even if not inherently scummy. Just a little too hung up on 'split votes', and parroting things that make you seem more town. Recurring theme?

    More defensiveness.

More defensiveness, and outrage at being on same tier as Vira, when.. you haven't said a word about Vira all game.

So, yeah. Basically, being so defensive at mild suspicion is very much a scummy thing. Town shrug off suspicion and pressure especially when it's so mild, and continue to do useful things, like hunt scum. Which... you've done almost none of this game, really. The main things you've actually done is try to get Ollie lynched, and harp about split votes.

My rankings were in order from most town to least town, so while you may be the same color as Vira, you aren't quite as suspicious as she is, either. Or at least, you weren't prior to reacting badly to the list. Again.

TL;DR - Schrodinger is defensive, which is a scummy trait, but did vote for Kalas, and pretty early on that wagon. Probably town, but warrants keeping an extremely close eye on in the event that it was a case of throwing a doomed teammate under the bus.

By the way, I handed out another point for this post:

I'm 25 points more sure than you are that you are wrong. Y'know, considering you were on the wagon. So it now looks like this:

    Vira (3.5)
    BillDoor (3)
    Republic21/Aziraphale (2)
    Jeram (1)
    CheddarTrek (1)

    Kalas: 7

Eidolonic, Custer, Schrodinger, Ashaya, Sesc, Vira, Aziraphale

Yet to vote: Bill Door, CheddarTrek, Jeram, Kalas, Krogan, LochNess

Just a little read-based breakdown of who voted yesterday. LochNess apparently voted after deadline, but was a town read anyways, so whatever. I will say that I feel okayish about Custer, considering the flip, I think?

Schro, Vira, and Republic got slight bumps towards towniness for voting, but it's not a gamebreaker - especially the last two being late votes.

The person that really looks horrific here is Bill. Jeram, Cheddar and Krogan didn't post at all yesterday... I don't think? So their not voting is a little more excusable. Bill not voting after spending the day defending himself and Kalas is... yeah.

I'm not opposed to killing Vira tomorrow, though. Your bloodlust will be satiated, don't worry!

I think I wand some reads and thoughts on state of game from Cheddar, Krogan, and Azira, in particular? They've all been replacements that I'm in the middle ground on. Not the best of slots, but not 'kill them with fire', either.

Should note that I didn't really mind that Azira post, Sesc. Like... I'd probably say closer to 30% sure, for me? But since if he's town, it'd obviously be a higher number from his perspective.

I think our most likely scenario is 2 scum not voting, and 1 scum voting? We'll see. The jumble of orange and yellow is still pretty throughly 'bleh' for me. I'd really like to get the roleblocker dead, so that we can have the cop safely reveal, and check that mess of 'I have no clue' people.

Alsoooo, I'm heading out for what is going to be most of the day, I think.

If people want some townie points, they can pick one of the orange/yellow names that haven't been touched on much and do a post by post analysis and a TL;DR conclusion on that player like I did Scrhodinger above. There's almost certainly 2 scum in that list of 7 orange/yellow names, and anything that people post about that grouping is good content.

Even if you are in that group of 7 (hell, especially if you are), I want to hear your opinions!

Republic21 was the one who killed the Naeblis lynch attempt on day 2. Vira is Vira. Both voted for Naeblis yesterday. And then Aziraphale/Republic21 comes with a 'there were no mafia voting, wink wink nudge nudge'?

Now that it's been a few days and the situation has changed, I'd be interested in people's answers to Eido's Day 1 questions, and if they've changed.

If you were the Probe, who would you violate?
If you were the Bacta Technician, who would you protect?
If you were the Smuggler, who would you aim at?

I'll answer that quick as I head out the door.

This all assumes that we lynch BillDoor today. Otherwise.. he's the answer to the Smuggler, I guess. Because he am scum. Wouldn't waste a check.

    Check: Azira
    Protect: Sesc
    Revenge Kill: Jeram

@Eido: You'd protect Sesc over yourself? Really? Kinda surprised by that. Sesc is a confirmed townie, yes, but is significantly less powerful after reveal simply by the nature of his role. Scum are likely hunting for power-roles, and Sesc is clearly no longer one.

Frankly, keeping our most vocal [and more importantly, role-unknown] posters is more of a concern for me. We're doing fairly well, given the circumstances. We've already lynched one scum, had one of our stronger posters confirmed town, and sustained manageable losses. Let's keep it going.

    For me, I'd:
Protect: Eido for reasons stated above.
Check: Eido because if he's scum, we're all fucked.
Revenge Kill: Vira/Jeram since I'm currently undecided.

Eidonic: I guess.... I just suck at mafia. I'm not gonna get defensive about what you said since apparently not wanting to die is a scum read.
Is anyone else puzzled as to why exactly they haven't tried to lynch Eido yet? I mean, either he's not as on the mark with his suspicions as we think, so they don't think him a threat, or... he's one of them, right?
If someone has an alternate explanation, please share it because I really don't find Eido suspicious, and this little problem is bothering the fuck out of me.

    Anyways,
    Check: Azira
    Protect: Eido
Revenge Kill: Bill, if we don't lynch him.
Honestly, I don't see why you'd protect Sesc: he's just a townie, now.

Sigh. I posted what I did because I honestly don't see a reason for the early adopters of the Kalas lynch votes as scum, and relatively sure that the last three who finished it aren't, so thats how I came up with that Sesc.

The people I want dead right now are: Bill, Vira, Schrodinger in that order.

---------- Post automerged at 06:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:43 PM ----------

ebwop; apart from Vira. Schro is on my kill list because if Vira isnt scum, Schro is.

Hi all I apologize for my lack of posting, at first I was just trying to get caught up on everything and then that supermoon crap had the power flicking off and on for hours on end yesterday. Just a couple of quick thoughts while I go back and read the whole thread in detail again. I actually for the first time ever in a mafia game honestly dont find Azira horribly suspicious yet. However I think checking him now sounds good to me. Schro raised a very interesting point though that I think bears a bit of consideration, I am certainly not trying to paint Eido as scum but with the way he's been tossing out accusations and pressing very hard you think some sort of effort at all would have been made by now to have him silenced which strikes me as well as rather odd.

Alright, heading out to Dagorhir, so I'll likely be gone for the next 8 hours. Please remember to vote, since I hate having no lynch days.

Read Eido's post with alot of your quotes, don't really feel like repeating it. If you can't find it there then that's kinda your problem.

I'm still frankly amazed at the level of analysis being done in this game, but the way I see it (yeah, yeah), I don't get the animosity to Vira, but that may just be my inability to read her posts accurately. Bill, though... unless he says something otherwise, I can't see how he isn't scum.

So, yay, Sesc is alive. Yay Kalas was scum (though that was obvious). And yay, we have an obvious lynch target. I'll be back a bit later, gonna vote now though.
