Also the fact that the game speed is set to normal/fast (I forget which one), as opposed to fastest.

Enjoyed the ending. The last battle wasn't incredibly difficult, but it took me two tries to do it. Those fucking Nydus Worms, man.

I want the rest of the story now.

    Found a few more cheats...lol

terribleterribledamage (invulnerability + 10xdamage), moredotsmoredots (units, structures and upgrades no longer cost minerals or vespene and spells can be cast for free) and whysoserious (gives 5,000,000 credits in the campaign).

StarCraft 2 is somehow easier and more fun when you're half asleep; also, it's great for waking up from being half asleep.

EDIT: Well. Maybe not necessarily easier. That could have just been a lucky streak.

    Alone? O.O

You must have the skills of a progamer.

A few of us (TSN, Poobah I think, and someone else) tried to 3v1 an Insane computer. We got raped the first time. Second time, I took one for the team while they raped his base. Third time, I got raped again (see a pattern here? o/) and it was able to hold off one attack and kill off TSN. Then it died.

All of this was during Beta.

Ugh. Anyone else having trouble with team games? Based on the amount of games played and lost, I'm basically pants at it.

However, I've had around a 1:1 win/loss in 1v1 games, hell I've been placed in gold in the beta.

Any tips on how to play team games? Shoutcasters say treat it like it's you against every one else. Is this the correct mindset to play in?

Talk to your teammate. Early rush at the same time against one enemy = good chance of destroying one player. I only play team if it's with somebody I know, that way, when we lose, I can just laugh about it.

Sooo yeah. There seem to be alot of good, experienced players out there. Hell, I dominated practice league, but now I'm getting my ass kicked when I moved to the real thing.

I second the warning against practice league - it's crap, and nothing like the real matches. It's like getting used to playing against easy AI.

I'd love to play Zerg, but I totally suck with them. I guess I'll stick with Terran for now.

I've been screwing around in Practice League to "farm" the achievements.

It looks like you can play "real" league team games while in practice league though, if your partner is out in the real league instead of practice.

For instance -- myself and a friend placed into Plat. for 2v2, but I'm still in Practice League for 1v1. (Oh, and we haven't played another game since our placement -- too scared we'll get our asses handed to us, haha)

Jesus fuck, thanks for that. My laptop was getting really fucking hot, and I thought that it was just because it was a laptop. Guess not.

Hey guys are the system requirements for the game the same as the beta? I was able to play pretty smoothly on medium graphics settings during the beta and was wondering if I'd have to resort to using low for the actual game since that has been a common complaint on the internetz :(.

It's more or less the same. I've noticed a little more lag in the campaign, but that's too be expected as it has more stuff going on.

I am SO RELIEVED! I've been dreading going back to Montreal only to find that I can't play the game.

2 Insane are not that hard when you know how to abuse the AI, like blocking/unblocking paths, making them run back and forth, as long as you can handle the first rush you'll be fine

Since the game's out of Beta status and is now in retail, should a new thread be opened? Or this one renamed?

Still having some trouble with unit counters, but I'm getting there.

Had a good match this morning where I had a rematch (via automatch) against someone before who had attacked me with a mass force of Marines, Marauders and a Siege Tank or two in a previous game.

In the rematch, I rushed him by getting a Marine out to take out his SCV (who was building a Supply Depot to help close off a base ramp) because I knew he'd try the same tactic, and then started pumping 'em out and sending 'em down there. I also had a secondary Barracks built just outside of hs base, so with Marines coming from two directions, I overwhelmed him, killed his economy, and then picked him apart as he tried to mass Barracks/Tech Labs. Fun times.

Also had one where I was Protoss (I play random), and I double Gateway rushed a fellow 'Toss player. Zealots rushing past your Photon Cannons and then eating your Probes? Not fun. :)

I seem to be doing alright with the zerg. My main strategy is to start hounding my opponent with zerglings while I build a roach warren, then steadily funnel roaches and 'lings down a creep highway. 2 and 1 so far.

When I play with my buddy, I'll evolve the ability for my overlords to carry troops and do it that way instead, while getting some hive lords out. Havent lost a team match yet.
