Humor

Superstitions abound; you name it he has it. Harry Potter is one superstitious bastard. At Hogwarts, when the stairs move, he runs away. When a black cat comes, something bad happens to Ron. He throws salt over his shoulder and blinds Ron. Harry is one superstitious bastard, and Ron is one unlucky fellow.

Requirements

• Anything bad that follows a superstition must never happen to Harry. Always to someone else, usually Ron.

Err, that's it. It's a humor fic so have fun with it.

 

If i could write, I would take this up. Wicked idea. It could be pretty funny.

Can Ron die and painful death as a result?

 

That is a great idea. I think I might have a shot at this one.

 

Making ron die would be an easy way out. The idea is to have him wishing for death but not getting it. Having him desperatly trying to make Harry disbelieve thse superstiions because they are all happening to him, but Harry gets more and more superstiouse as time goes on.

Perhaps Harry at the start only believes in a couple of things, but Ron trying to break Harry out of them since he is the victim most of the time, buys him a book. Harry finds much more things to be afraid of and Ron curses the book, unable to do anything as his life becomes miserable.

 

Only write this if you're positive that you can make it funny. Love the idea though..

 

It would be rather funny if you didn't try to make it a serious fic. Something akin to "Make a Wish" would work.

 

To expand on Xantam's post; don't try and make it funny either, whats so great about "make a wish" is it's hilarious but it doesn't seem like Roarsch was trying to make it as funny as it is. Most authors, when writing humour, try too hard to make there stories funny and end up ruining them..

 

To clarify, give it a serious tone with a humorous mood. The narrator and characters are not acting or saying anything silly but the situations that occur are. Like in the Dog that Bit People, if your English teacher made you read it like mine did.
