I would like to raise an objection to this. You said in the Challenge post that you expected the Challenge to last 24 hours(IE everyone would be good little players and post rapidly as in the Tug-of-War Challenge and Spelling Challenge, which hasn't happened here), not that it must be completed within 24 hours or that it would end in 24 hours. You did not explicitly name a deadline that must be finished by, as you have with
prior Challenges listed.

Why go the effort of creating so many Legs and the Riddles aspect if you aren't going to honor the process? You're changing your mind and changing the terms of the Challenge to suit your purposes. You laid the prerequisites to victory out in post #1088.

Neither House has reached that point. Ravenclaw are still in Leg 5, meaning we still have a chance to make a come back, but you're cutting our legs out from under us, Zeit.

Welcome to Tribal Council
​

Welcome, Hufflepuff, to Tribal Council. As a consequence of losing the last Immunity Challenge, you have been sent here, to this abandoned grotto, to cannibalise one of your own.

Grab a torch and light it in the fire pit. On Survivor, fire represents life. It is what hastens in the dark. Your aim in Survivor: DLP is to keep your torch from being snuffed out by those around you.

This is how Tribal Council will work. Firstly, Hufflepuff, you cannot post in your House QT while Tribal Council is commencing. You will also be given a series of questions which you must answer, in order for Tribal Council to conclude. These questions are designed with observing your performances at the Immunity Challenge and any fractures within your House.

At the end of these questions, you will submit a vote via your private QTs. How you submit a vote is "Vote Out: [PLAYER NAME]". You should also append your vote with a short voting Confessional, which is a sentence or two (or more, if you feel passionate) explaining your reasons/feelings towards your vote. Pretend as though you are talking to the person for whom you're voting.


Tribal Council 5 (Dusk 5) has started.

Posting is now permitted in this thread until all Tribal Council questions have been answered. Votes can be submitted once everybody has answered all their allocated questions. If you know that you won't be online at this point, you may submit a vote early, but once a vote is made, it cannot be retracted.

nb: Please take these questions more seriously. Now, you may lie in these responses and can be as truthful or duplicitous as you want, but please avoid using farcical or facetious answers. It's disrespectful to castaways who actually put effort into answering. tl;dr, take it more seriously.

Zenzao: Ordinarily, I might agree with you, since I am flexible with deadlines, but I hold the right to exercise discretion. When I say 24 hours, I mean 24 hours. And in this case, 24 Hours have past, and your fellow Housemates have made it clear that they won't be finishing this challenge. I understand that you are upset, but Hufflepuff is behind at least four legs, which is nay impossible to recover.

The unfortunate fact is that Hufflepuff won't be winning this Challenge even in a million years for reasons that you probably already know. More than any other person, I'd like to see this challenge reach completion, considering the riddles that I constructed. I really would. But in this case, I unfortunately must abide by the deadline.

My true commiserations, mate.

nb: the other challenges did also have a deadline to which I abided within reason. The only one whose deadline was altered was ChessGames for reasons already discussed.

While I would like to believe otherwise, for reasons I can very much understand given my own somewhat complex schedule on certain days in the past few Challenges, there is no excuse to wait as late as someone did. I myself hastened to post as often as possible if I had to be away for four, five, six+ hours when a Challenge was in swing.
2. Why would anybody have motive to throw a Challenge?
Elimination of the competition, sad as that is to say. Anya and Riley still have their Returnee Immunity so far as I know, plus whatever else you threw their way. When does that expire by the way?
3. With the Merge around the corner, who on Redemption Island troubles you the most?
No one. I don't recall who it was in Ravenclaw, so I don't really care about them. Proph axed himself and will likely do so again should he somehow beguile his way back into the game, which I highly doubt will occur. I still don't know what happened with Rep but I hope to see him back soon as we could honestly have used his help these last couple of Challenges, and Cracked is frankly bemusing given the days leading up to his elimination.
4. Are Caligula and Zenzao the outsiders of this House?
Caligula certainly seems to have raised tensions in the House from the end of Day 1 onward. I don't know what happened there either, but I hope it finally stops after tonight and/or before the Merge goes through. As for myself, I've tried to work well with all of my teammates.
5. Why did CrackedMind have to go?
Best guess is that the new Hufflepuff saw him as a vulnerability to the rest of the teamwork established, doing the poorest in his assigned position compared to the next-lowest scorer.
6. Do you have anything you'd like to say to the rest of Hufflepuff?
I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting rather tired of seeing each other in Tribal Council. Should have been Ravenclaw having this conversation instead of us, but it should be clear what has to happen from here :\

 

Zenzao, returnee immunity expired after the first tribal they went to. Neither Anya nor Riley has returnee immunity anymore.

I don't know if it was exactly that, or if it was just shitty timing. My challenge spirit makes it hard for me to throw anything, and I love a good riddle, but I am in the middle of exams, and I think everyone's timing was off.

I can certainly see the motivation for why some of us would.

Probably Republic. I never really did get to see his challenge skill.

Absolutely. Caligula will be going home this round, no doubts. It's an easy 3-2 vote. Sorry friend.

I really really hated his exit, but basically, we needed to make sure Caligula didn't have an idol. Now that we're sure he doesn't, we're just going to all vote him. Again, very sorry.

It's the perfect opportunity to remove somebody before the merge.

Republic21. He may not necessarily side with Hufflepuff if he comes back, and that could be detrimental to our game.

Definitely, I mean it's 3-2? The ex-Ravenclaws seems determined to write down my name, for some godforsaken reason. I've tried talking to them, tried to tell them that Lexicat is a bigger threat. But nobody listened, not even Cracked.

The Ex-Ravenclaws tricked him into flipping, instead of sticking to the Puffs and forcing a tie.

I am tired of being at Tribal Council. Really, I want to work with all of you, and if you'd keep me around, you won't regret it. I'm a hard worker and a great asset to our House.
