Welcome back, castaways, to the Immunity Challenge. Before we start, Lexicat, I'll be collecting your Immunity Necklace. For the final time, Individual Immunity is back up for grabs.



Today's Challenge, the final Immunity Challenge of the game, is Ghosts of the Past. Befitting the final challenge, it will consist of three gruelling rounds. Each round represents one of each Survivor theme: Outwit, Outplay, Outlast.

In Round One, you will attempt to outwit and use your intelligence. Reminiscent of the Face-Off Challenge, you are given a series of faces are amalgamations of various famous people's faces. You must identify the two constituents that form each merged face and post your results on your private QT, before you can proceed to Round Two. You will receive 1 point per correct identification of one face that forms the merged face, 2 points if you identify both faces in the merge correctly.



Round Two asks castaways to outplay one another. How this competition aspect will be measured will be as the Web of Sudoku. For this Challenge, you will be playing Sudoku. You will go to this link:

And play any Medium level game you wish. But before you begin, please click the Options button so you can make sure the Competitive so that the timer can be seen while you solve the puzzle.

After you have completed your Sudoku grid, you will click an option "Invite another Player" or "Player against a Friend" and input your email address (doesn't have to be your personal one; just an email address), input your DLP Name, and input "oddfictionrambles@gmail.com" into the friend's email section.

If you do all of these actions successfully, I will receive an email in oddfictionrambles@gmail.com which states your DLP Name and your Time/Score. The player who submits the highest score (i.e. fastest time) will win Round Two.

Once you reach Round Three, you will embrace the "Outlast" aspect of this challenge. Yes, you will be mounting the Pole Challenge once more. In the "Pole Challenge QTs, once every 5 minutes, you must post "I am balancing on the beam". Once you miscalculate and post too early or too late, you will be disqualified. You CANNOT delete your posts and start over. If I catch you, you will be DQed. The player who balances on the pole the longest wins Round Three.


Once everybody has completed all three Rounds, the player who has won the most number of Rounds will win Individual Immunity and a guaranteed spot in the Finale. A 1/3 chance of winning this game! Each player is allowed to go at his/her own pace and can decide how much time to allocate in each Round. However, players must complete Round Three by the time 24 hours elapse and must complete the Rounds in the order mentioned.

Now, that's an impressive Challenge, befitting the Finale. Thank the Wizengamot, because this was their idea.

If you wish to have a group conversation, I recommend you either hold it in your House QT or you convey your messages to all players involved in the convo via your 1-on-1 QTs at the same time.

This may be finnicky, but the whole point of 1-on-1 QTs is to give some opportunity for individual manoeuvring, although alliances with multiple players are definitely encouraged. You may also post in this thread for open discussions.

Welcome to Tribal Council

Welcome, castaways, to Tribal Council. You have been sent here, to this abandoned grotto, to cannibalise one of your own.

Grab a torch and light it in the fire pit. On Survivor, fire represents life. It is what hastens in the dark. Your aim in Survivor: Redemption is to keep your torch from being snuffed out by those around you.

This is how Tribal Council will work. Firstly, castaways, you cannot post in any QTs while Tribal Council is commencing. You will also be given a series of questions which you must answer, in order for Tribal Council to conclude. These questions are designed with observing your performances at the Immunity Challenge and any fractures within your House.

Ordinarily, at the end of these questions, you will submit a vote via your private QTs. How you submit a vote is "Vote Out: [PLAYER NAME]". You should also append your vote with a short voting Confessional, which is a sentence or two (or more, if you feel passionate) explaining your reasons/feelings towards your vote. Not really.

I'm going to go with mishie. Who knows how far he'd have come without that family emergency.

4. Do you have anything you'd like to say to the rest of Hogwarts?

I used up my speech writing skills last round. So all I'm going to say is that I'm 50% sure we're headed for a tie. So this ain't over for me yet.

9. Why do you think you've come all this way? Would you consider yourself a coattail rider?

Two part question? Two part answer.

I've come this far because I have worked hard at it. I've talked to everyone, I've played every challenge to win, I've guessed riddle after riddle, and I've spent the last however many days trying to win this game.

And no, I would not consider myself a coattail rider. A coattail rider does nothing but find someone and try to ride them to the end. I have done everything I could, possibly to my detriment, to be the one leading the pack.

 

1. Do you regret anything that you've done in this game?
If I did regret anything, it's a little late to worry about that now. I regret I messed up on this final challenge, and I regret that I wasn't good enough to save BillDoor from being Idol'd out of the game twice. Beyond that, I'm proud of what I've accomplished.
2. Why SHOULDN'T somebody trust you?
You can trust me to play to my best interests, and sometimes that means you can trust me not to tell you the truth. I never promised I was going to be the most loyal player, but at least you always know where I'm coming from.
3. Out of the current Wizengamot members, who do you think most deserves to be sitting in the Final Four instead of you?
Lyrium. Lyrium easily would have been in the final three had the round with the idol back at the beginning of Merge gone his way. I just made a strong play, and got a little lucky. I respect Lyrium's gameplay very much.
4. Do you have anything you'd like to say to the rest of Hogwarts?
Just good luck.
8. Some castaways believe that you played a less than ethical game. Do you agree with this assertion and if so, would you change anything?
Ethical is in the eye of the beholder, so I can certainly see why some people might think some aspects of my game were unethical. If you have a problem with someone straight up lying to your face, then you might consider that unethical, and I've certainly done that this game. If you consider Survivor to be a game of honor and about challenges, then my performance in the first few challenges after the merge might have you thinking that I played unethically.
All I can say is that I always did what I thought was necessary to make it farther in the game, and if anyone in the jury has a specific problem or question for me, if I make final 3 you'll all get your answers. And if I'm voted out tonight, well, I'll still answer your questions in the jury house if you like ^_^.

Yes. I regret having to part ways with Vesvius. Also, Riley, I am sorry for not having seen the QT, or replying to you in time. If I had it my way, you would have survived that round.

2. Why SHOULDN'T somebody trust you?

There's absolutely no reason why someone shouldn't trust me. What I say, I will do. I will not lie.

3. Out of the current Wizengamot members, who do you think most deserves to be sitting in the Final Four instead of you?

Zenzao always seemed crazily strong and capable to me. If that round with the 2 idols did not happen- he would have made it.

4. Do you have anything you'd like to say to the rest of Hogwarts?

Not really. Good luck guys. If it ends with a tie, I'll eat some popcorn and watch the tiebreaker challenge.

5. Congratulations on your third Immunity win. Now you tie with Vesvius in terms of the most number of wins. Do you think your social and strategy games were as strong as your physical game, however?

Honestly, my social game was quite screwed heh. I'm probably one of the weakest in this department. However, the upside is that I haven't offended anyone, and I hope that I'm likeable.

I hope my strategy games were up to par. I survived.

 

1. Do you regret anything that you've done in this game?

Not being able to save Republic21. I promised him I'd be able to get him to the final 4, and I fully intended to take him to the final 3, but in the end I really didn't try that hard to keep him in the game. I mean, what the fuck even was my plan to save him, Vote Vesvius and pray he had an immunity idol? Fuck. It still bothers me that I didn't at least try to talk to the remaining Hufflepuffs.

2. Why SHOULDN'T somebody trust you?

The same reason why they should trust me, I'm an exact wording kind of guy. If I say something, I mean it, but at the same time I'm not above looking for loopholes.

3. Out of the current Wizengamot members, who do you think most deserves to be sitting in the Final Four instead of you?

None. It takes a lot of effort to never be the most appetizing target, and it worked out pretty well for me. Mishie and Schrodinger excepted because they were eliminated for out of game reasons.

4. Do you have anything you'd like to say to the rest of Hogwarts?

Not really. Everyone knows where I stand already.

6. You have come a long way from original place on Redemption Island. Do you think that if you made it to the end you would have a good shot at winning?

Everyone still in has a chance at winning, for some those chances are higher than others. My chances are probably the lowest.

Before we begin the Final Tribal Council, where the Wizengamot will finally say what they have been waiting to say, the Finalists must first undertaken the Rites of Passage.

During the Rites of Passage, each of you will walk past the torches of your eliminated competitors, in the order of their elimination, and recite a few words about that player. You will then collect the torches as you go and by the end of your journey, you will burn them as a way to pay respect to those players.

Once all Finalists have posted their thoughts on the fallen comrades and have collected the Torches, we will begin the Final Tribal Council.

I never really got the chance to know you in this game, but it was your wish to be voted out, so I guess everyone was happy in the end?
15. Collecting the torch of BitMyFinger: At this point in the game, it was you or me, and I obviously preferred you. Sorry friend, it was nice playing with you.
14. Collecting the torch of CrackedMind: I'm so so sorry things went the way they did with you. I would have personally preferred to bring you into the merge with us, but we were scared of the idol Caligula might have, so we just had to play it safe. You were cool to talk to.
13. Collecting the torch of Anya: Anya, at the beginning I was apprehensive of you, and by the time we eventually aligned, you were already leaving. I was very sad to see you go, you could have gone really far. I hope you're doing ok!
12. Collecting the torch of Zenzao: You're a tricky one! It took me two cracks to vote you out, and the round that I took you out was probably my biggest move of the game. As a person, you were super chill too.
11. Collecting the torch of Caligula: You threw a serious wrench into my plan with your idol during the tribe swap. You had a chance to vote me out, and you chose to vote out BillDoor instead, so I guess a thank you is an order. I literally could not be where I am without you.
10. Collecting the torch of mishie: Mishie, you and I had a serious love hate relationship in this game. I don't know how this game would ahve gone if you hadn't had to drop out, but I know we would have continued to but heads at least once more before the end. Sorry to see you go, wish you all the best.
9. Collecting the torch of Lyrium: Lyrium, you know as a person you are someone I respect and like very much. I met you in this game and you are a good friend of mine. Sadly in this game, you and I could never work together. It was never meant to be. Sorry I couldn't be your Juliett, Romeo~.
8. Collecting the torch of Republic21: Coming back from redemption Island is no small feat, and you definitely showed you were in this game to win it. I had no idea you and Turt were alligned until after you were voted out. You played a great game.
7. Collecting the torch of Schrodinger: Schrodinger, I respect your game so much. You fought hard to get where you were, and then fought even harder to stay in the game despite your illness. I am glad to hear you're out of the hospital now, and I wish you the best. Good game, friend.
6. Collecting the torch of Bill Door: Bill, I only wish I could have done more for you. Twice this game I let you get idol'd out of the game, and in both situations there was extremely little I could do. I wanted to bring you to the end, and losing you was a big blow to my game. Thanks for being loyal to me from day 1.
5. Collecting the torch of Riley Poole: Riley, despite some nasty things you said to me, I think you're a seriously solid guy. At the time of the vote, I couldn't bring myself to betray VES, and the thought of what you had said ran through my mind again and again. It's not even a big deal now, and I forgave you a long time ago, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I'm sorry friend, but congrats on being the last hufflepuff alive.
4. Collecting the torch of Vesvius: VES, I'm so sorry. I'm so so so sorry. In the end, it didn't make any sense for me to put the game into a tiebreaker. You would have won the whole game in the end, and I couldn't in good conscience play against my wincon to bring you to the finals. You are a significantly more honorable player than I am, and I'm glad I became aligned to you in the end. This unfortunately is a bitter end to a very sweet journey.
